Jones absolutely was a Donald Trump supporter in 2016. Not sure about the 2020 election or here today, but he was for Trump against Hillary Clinton.
This was in Connecticut. The same lawyers are conducting lawfare on him from multiple states.
The lawyers have stated in the trials that money is not their goal, their goal is to deprive him of his platform and ensure that he will never have a public platform again.
The trials are a joke. He was not allowed to have a jury trial in the judgement phase. The judge "deemed" him guilty. The jury trials are just show trials to determine how much he owes.
Love or hate Alex Jones, this should scare the cheezy puffs out of anybody with two brain cells in a row.
Alex Jones was the test case for cancelling people from social media.
This is the test case for suing anyone into oblivion who says anything that contradicts the globaltarian narrative.

The murderer and his mother who armed him and abetted his activities indirectly before he murdered her, did horrendous, irreparable harm to the victoms and their families.
What some blowhard ass said about the murders, even his pretense that the rampage was faked, was loathesome. In contrast to Adam Lanza, Jones did not harm the plaintiffs’ children. The plaintiffs knew what happened to their children was all to real, so anything Alex Jones said was gas in the wind to them. Why would they have taken him seriously enough to be “hurt” by it, when they had real hurt to deal with? This snowflakism offends me so much, I need to sue the plaintiffs for billions for my hurt feelings.
Appeals is where this one goes. Insane punishment over a 1st Amendment right.
No matter how ridiculous his proposition was, he still had the right to voice it in order to show the world what an idiot he is.
Regardless of your opinion of Alex Jones this is beyond farce. Viva Frei and Robert Barnes on You Tube have covered much of this trial and are worth checking out. They will most likely have a response to. the verdict and will provide a realistic perspective contrary to the bilge promoted by the MSM.
The state gets out of debt with the taxes collected on the awards. Surprised it’s not trillions.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a Connecticut judge and jury just gave Jones close to a billion reasons why they didn't believe his lies but instead believed those kids really were killed.

Jones is scum but it’s hard to know how damages could be that high.
Jones was free to say anything he wanted. Nobody stopped him. The plaintiffs were free to say he was lying about them. The courts ruled which side was slandering and who. Turns out they didn't believe Jones.
