Liz Truss is already less popular than Boris Johnson ever was
YouGov ^ | 10/6/22 | Joanna Morris

Posted on 10/06/2022 4:22:48 AM PDT by JonPreston

Just 14% of the public say they have a favourable impression of Truss in a YouGov survey conducted between 1-2 October, compared to more than a quarter (26%) who said so in the previous survey on 21-22 September.

Nearly three quarters (73%) now see the prime minister in an unfavourable light, including more than half (55%) who see her very unfavourably.

Truss’s net favourability score has fallen by 28 points to -59 in less than a fortnight – in comparison, Boris Johnson’s net favourability was -53 when it dropped to its lowest in early July, while Jeremy Corbyn’s lowest ever score was -55.

14% favorable

Last month she was compared to Thatcher and Churchill, today she's the face of the biggest political collapse in recent memory. The electorate is angry, on both sides of the pond.

She is on borrowed time.

It’s a total and complete collapse, and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving hack politician.

She’s a one-year ‘filler’. I think she could walk into any rural UK pub, and half the people there would not recognize her. All she’s got going....is ‘ideas’ and some three minute speech for each idea.

Hard to believe this nut broad wasn’t in office ONE MONTH WHEN SHE WENT BACK ON A PROMISE.

And I had such hope for her.

Shame on me.

My take is almost half of all Brit conservatives (ones that admit it in public) will say they got no beef or issue with Johnson.

The problem is...at no point in the past fifty years, have you had such a low number of candidates for the PM job. Even from the left, there’s just not anyone with public value standing.

If there ever was a Macron-moment, where a guy appeared out of nowhere and put a party up from zero...this is it. By mid-2024...a Macron-nobody could emerge and take on political establishment.

Now she wants to cut benefits and pensions on the middle class while waving in illegals.

She was not ready for prime time.

If you Brits want a chuckle here is the RF singing Queen song. It is kind of creepy but Prince William part cracks me up

You mean like the way Donald Trump appeared out of the vile group of attention seekers and spoke of what the American Citizens really wanted from their government?

God Bless him for that. And hopefully, he can repeat his stunning victory.

Reminds me of former Canadian prime minister Kim Campbell — the first (and only, to date) female PM. She was in office for about 5 months in the early 1990s. Clearly over her head.

The Tories are completely ruled by our equivalent of RINOs.

Nobody likes or trusts them just like here.

The Tory Party is lost until they adopt populist positions on immigration, energy policy, national sovereignty, and avoiding wars of choice. It will take a complete change of leadership and several shellackings at the polls for that to happen unfortunately. They would do well to learn from Nigel Farage.

Nigel Farage. He’s exactly what Britain - and the Tory Party - needs.
