As campaign struggles, Doug Mastriano plans ‘40 days of fasting and prayer’

But some Republicans are worrying that Mastriano is squandering the opportunity in one of the country’s most consequential races. Would-be allies have remained on the sidelines, having concluded by now that a Mastriano win in November might require a minor miracle.

Coincidentally, divine intervention is just what the candidate has in mind this week.

On Monday night, Mastriano’s campaign posted on Facebook a photo of two hands under the words “40 days of fasting & prayer” with the dates Sept. 29 through Nov. 8 — Election Day. “Interceding for our elections, our state, and our nation,” it stated, along with a verse from the Book of Isaiah.

“Starting in a few days,” Mastriano wrote in the post. One Facebook supporter responded: “It’ll be my honor to fast with you.”

[I didn’t think Oz was going to be the stronger candidate. He definitely is running that way. ]

IMHO, McCormick would have been stronger than Oz. Kathy Barnett? Fuhgettaboutit. Campaigning in swing states requires serious mental horsepower. And maybe personal cash infusions. Oz the heart surgeon has it. McCormick has it. Barnett? Really? Is that even a question?

I watch one of his latest tv spots and it was very good. I don’t think the problem is Mastriano. It’s all the liberals.

If you are leaning on the fence in Pennsylvania, or anywhere in America after 2 years of these leftists running the show, well simply put...you’re a moron.

Mastriano is floundering and needs to replace his campaign staff before it’s too late. He needs a better strategy than a bunch of tiny rallies with shut-ins.

So are you volunteering? Or are you just a concern troll?

He barely posts anything there.

Hey Einstein, you do know that Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube shadowbanned Doug a long time ago during COVID, and doesn't show his posts anymore, right?

He posts like crazy on Facebook. You’d know that if you actually looked.

Mastriano could easily post more on Twitter. He chooses not to. There are tons of people who could boost him on there like Jenna Ellis and many others. He chooses not to. Just like he won’t advertise anywhere basically.

At least Barnett would have worked hard.

Per “fasting and prayer”, most modern people should not try a 40 day fast without a bunch of research. I have done a few 40’s, but wouldn’t try one without weekly laxatives. Now if someone is willing to risk lasting damage from toxic colon stasis, which might result in visions not necessarily orthodox...

You have no idea what you're talking about because I actually am a moderator on his social media pages.

So shut up, fool.

‘This should go over about as well as I Am Not A Witch.’

yeah, but at least she looked cute saying it; Mastriano is, well, telegenically challenged...

Anyone can claim that. No one has an obligation to believe you without proof.

And it’s obvious that Mastriano neglects Twitter for Zuck’s cesspool. Anyone can see that for themselves. He’s posted only one thing today, something about Hispanics.

https://twitter.com/dougmastriano/status/1575168057818742788

Mostly he just retweets others. Guy needs to be focused on raising money and getting a bigger audience. He’s not.

If you actually have that connection, tell them to start advertising with the money they have instead of blowing it on tiny events with rest home residents.

I don't care what you think or believe. But you're an idiot who knows nothing and just chronically whines and complains.

Don't like how Doug's campaign is run, then VOLUNTEER and help by passing out signs and literature and going door knocking.

Playing concern troll helps nobody.

Fool.

Would she? Oz has crisscrossed PA and is still doing appearances. You can’t outwork a doctor or a hedge fund manager. They work their butts off. That’s how they got where they are - workaholism. That it’s mental work doesn’t mean it ain’t work.

If you think his campaign is going great, it is you who are the idiot. The grassroots money is nonexistent. And you know that.

Time to shake things up before it’s too late.

One can do the kind of fasting like one does for Lent.

Give up something special to you.

“Where is the GOP??”

In a meeting to figure out how to keep conservatives from being elected.

Where is the GOP??

They are exactly the same place as they have always been: licking and sniffing Mitt Romney’s niece. It’s going to be a few more years until we take over the GOP. The precinct strategy takes time. It is making progress. RINOs are going to become extinct. Until that happens do not donate to the GOP. Donate directly to MAGA candidate.

It’s the Philly Inquirer doing the reporting.

Exactly. And who reads the Inky? Not Republicans. We are unusual beasts on FR. We post articles from every leftist outlet in the world. This article in the Inquirer may actually help Mastriano. Perhaps it will lull people into confidence that Shapiro will win and some won’t vote. There isn’t a great deal of motivation among Democrats anyway. MAGA candidates have a history of grassroots, low money victories.

I posted this on another thread; I believe it applies to this thread.

Democrats destroy!

For more chaos, crime, carnage corruption, disruption, inflation, riots, woke insanity, “Green New Deal” insanity, etc., etc., vote Democrat!

Why ANY sentient American could vote Democrat has greatly puzzled me for my entire adult (I am 81) life!

Only answer that makes sense to me is that they are being paid, in some manner I don’t understand, to vote Democrat.

If the anti-American, insane, outrageous antics of Sloe Joe, The Hoe, and their criminal conspiracy administration do not result in MASSIVE, LANDSLIDE Democrat rejection for all elective offices in November 2022 and 2024, America is truly lost!

Make America Great Again by voting Republican in 2022 and 2024!
