As campaign struggles, Doug Mastriano plans ‘40 days of fasting and prayer’

But some Republicans are worrying that Mastriano is squandering the opportunity in one of the country’s most consequential races. Would-be allies have remained on the sidelines, having concluded by now that a Mastriano win in November might require a minor miracle.

Coincidentally, divine intervention is just what the candidate has in mind this week.

On Monday night, Mastriano’s campaign posted on Facebook a photo of two hands under the words “40 days of fasting & prayer” with the dates Sept. 29 through Nov. 8 — Election Day. “Interceding for our elections, our state, and our nation,” it stated, along with a verse from the Book of Isaiah.

“Starting in a few days,” Mastriano wrote in the post. One Facebook supporter responded: “It’ll be my honor to fast with you.”

What he should be announcing is that he took out a loan to buy ads on conservative media or to pay for an in-person rally with Trump. Hopefully his amen chorus on FR will wake up and admit that Mastriano has serious problems.

I didn't think Oz was going to be the stronger candidate. He definitely is running that way.

How about put some hard hitting ads on tv? That may help!

The Establishment, The Chamber of Commerce, The Usual Crowd has thrown Doug Mastriano under the bus.

Not one dime to help him.

I knew from the beginning Oz would have the money his own and others. Even Toomey endorsed him.

And President Trump endorsed Doug so he could help get Oz over the top in the primary.

It’s way past time for people inside Pennsylvania and outside Pennsylvania to send Doug Mastriano support.

I have already contributed hundreds and I have budgeted even more money between now and November 8th.

The RNC is spending all their money to help fellow RINOs like Murkowski win.

Mastriano is fighting against Dems and RINOs on the national and state level. Jake the Snake Corman hates Mastriano/MAGA and will not lift a finger to help statewide. You even have PA RINOs calling Mastriano an 'extremist' for questioning the 2020 election and are publicly pledging to vote for the Dem.

The RINO swamp would much rather see a Dem win than to have 'their' party taken over by MAGA.

Doomer article.

The liberals are going to shoot themselves in the foot pushing the PA “easy win.”

Both parties operate on the principle that candidates have to demonstrate fundraising strength before getting big investments. Mastriano could have used his money early on to raise more money. Instead he posted boring Facebook videos that no one wanted to watch and showed up at tiny events where they kicked out people who wanted to talk to him, not just the media.

Lots of candidates will take out a loan early on to give themselves a boost to raise more money. Not sure if he did that.

But even Trump so far is holding his powder. That should say a lot about whether Mastriano is doing things correctly. He did a short phone call this week, but hasn’t donated anything from his $100 mil stash that I am aware of.

“This is so depressing.”

Or, maybe he’s doing well. It’s the Philly Inquirer doing the reporting. Who knows what’s true?

Who’d have thought Oz would win and Mastriano lose?

Exactly. The concern trolling is perhaps a bigger problem.

Mastriano will never get the establishment GOP support in PA they are actively working to ensure he will lose, so if he is going to win its going to have to be a purely grassroots campaign.

While the governors Race is far more consequential for PA than the Senate race, the race between the two turd sandwiches for Senate is the one that is spending untold sums of money and overshadowing the governors race entirely.

The amount of out of state money being poured into PA for the Senate race is all the proof you need of just how little your next Senator for PA will give a damn about PA.. regardless of which one wins..

Absolute $hit$#ow of a race.

I think you just need to shut up from the peanut gallery, since all you have done is criticize Dug since the primary. You’ve never supported him. and you never will. So stop it.

Mastriano has to fight the establishment GOP of PA.. they don’t want him, won’t support him (other than token support when the cameras are running) and will actively work to have him lose.

Folks need to wake up and understand that the GOP establishment of PA doesn’t give a damn about conservatism or conservatives... other than their votes.

The party leadership just flat out had ZERO interest in conservatism beyond lip service at election time.

It’s not concern trolling to point out that a candidate that Democrats hand-picked is running an incompetent campaign. It’s not too late for him to get new advisers and work harder. Oz started off slow but is doing the work. That’s a fact, regardless of whether it hurts your feelings.

Trump knew..

Endorsement of Dr. Oz

04/09/22

This is all about winning elections in order to stop the Radical Left maniacs from destroying our Country. The Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a tremendous opportunity to Save America by electing the brilliant and well-known Dr. Mehmet Oz for the United States Senate. I have known Dr. Oz for many years, as have many others, even if only through his very successful television show. He has lived with us through the screen and has always been popular, respected, and smart. He even said that I was in extraordinary health, which made me like him even more (although he also said I should lose a couple of pounds!). He is a graduate of Harvard University and earned a joint MD and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Wharton School of Finance. He has authored more than 350 original publications, written 8 New York Times bestsellers, and received patents for developing medical devices that have improved countless lives and performed thousands of life-saving heart operations.

Dr. Oz is Pro-Life, very strong on Crime, the Border, Election Fraud, our Great Military, and our Vets, Tax Cuts, and will always fight for and support our under-siege Second Amendment. He will ensure America will become Energy Independent again. Dr. Oz also passionately believes in high-quality education and protecting parent involvement throughout the process. Perhaps most importantly, I believe that Mehmet Oz will be the one most able to win the General Election against a Radical Left Democrat looking to do unthinkable harm to our Country. Women, in particular, are drawn to Dr. Oz for his advice and counsel. I have seen this many times over the years. They know him, believe in him, and trust him. Likewise, he will do very well in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, where other candidates will just not be accepted. He knows his job is to serve every single Pennsylvanian. Dr. Oz is smart, tough, and will never let you down, therefore, he has my Complete and Total Endorsement. Good luck, Dr. Oz. our Country needs you!

I predicted months ago that Oz would be the stronger candidate. Mastriano is an awful candidate who simply isn’t ready for prime time.

I stand by my original prediction that he won’t even get 40% of the vote.

The PA GOP is against him-—not all, but enough. Mastriano has some “big” name Republicans backing Shapiro! Shapiro is no different than Fetterman and for these Republicans to support him they should be removed from the party!
