More than a dozen states are debating whether to adopt California's plan to ban new gas cars by the year 2035.
Several of the 17 states are likely to move forward with the plan, including Washington, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon and Vermont. California's restrictions are the strictest in the country, mandating that all new vehicles run on either electricity or hydrogen by 2035.
The mandate is facing fierce pushback in states like Minnesota, where the Minnesota Auto Dealers Association argues the weather prohibits the use of solely electric vehicles.

The Greenwienies are taking advantage of a poorly educated public who wouldn’t know a kilowatt for a toaster. When compliance to EV ownership maxes out the electric capacity of the power grid, the realty of their inept scam will be evident to even the most unschooled citizen. Tar and feathers will be in short supply.

And to think that in 1963, I rode a 50 cc Honda motorcycle over BILLIONS of dollars worth of lithium in the Nevada desert (Silver Peak) and had no clue it was below me.
It appeared that no one knew the value either, as SP was a ghost town with a swimming pool full of tumbleweeds as I passed thru.
That’s why it’s so important that when people were moving around a few years ago, that they very carefully chose their next location.
Dealerships on the borders of those states will do brisk business.
Not to mention the adjacent states BMVs scoring a big uptick in license plate fees.
