A NIGHTCLUB has banned staring without getting "verbal consent" - and hired "safety officers" in pink vests to police revellers.
The venue also asked clubbers not to turn up if their "sole purpose" for their night out is the meet someone to "pick up".
Club 77 in Sydney said managers will call the cops if clubbers stare at others without getting their consent.
And in an Instagram post, the club said "safety officers" in pink vests would enforce the new staring rules.
Club 77 said it wanted to be a "safe space" and updated its rules as it had recently "attracted some people who do not share our values and ethics when it comes to club culture".
It said: "Creating a safe space goes beyond implementing practices to deal with incidents after they have happened.

Now you can get in trouble for literally looking at someone wrong.
That’s how we flirted in the ‘70s and ‘80s. What’s a person to do?
The police force will be redirected....
That is a business model doomed to fail.
"I swear, Officer, I only come here to go on an expensive drunk, nothing more!"
A week later, the club filed for bankruptcy.
But if you tell a tranny to stop looking at you, you’ll get arrested for a hate crime.
There are a lot of videos on YouTube (which I think originate on TikTok) of women lamenting how unfair life is once you hit 30 — women become invisible at that point and men stop paying any attention to them. It’s called “hitting the wall”. It makes some women cry when men stop staring.
Nope. Not even close. Stay tuned.
Doonesbury did a strip a few years ago, expect it was men who become invisible to young women after a few too many birthdays. But they didn’t cry about it.
There's a ewetewb channel called "Man Talk", where the host roasts these wymyn. He's hilarious.
I have no sympathy for unic Australians and object to a defense pact under which the US would go to war with China over the former penal colony.
China can have it. New Zealand, too.
My guess is a lot of women go to nightclubs to be stared at, this policy sort of defeats the purpose of all the clothes women buy to go out in
LOL. Exactly what I was thinking. “Mom, he’s looking at me.”
Hitting that wall!
They can’t outright say it, so they have to word it in a way that sounds ridiculous, but I bet the female regulars know exactly who this policy is about.
The difference between flirting and harassment is whether she finds you attractive
This is so silly..
When male heads turned to follow me as I walked by, I knew the outfit was a hit.
I never worried about stares. When I was single, I knew they meant potential interest. You can engage in a respectful manner, dance with them to the end of the song, and then disengage politely so as to not hurt a gentleman’s feelings if you are not really interested. Good looking guys who can’t string together a sentence were not that good looking after two minutes. Average guys who were engaging became better looking after two minutes.
Only once did I stop dancing abruptly and leave someone on the floor. He was a crude pig.
Even after I met my future husband, we still went clubbing because I loved dancing. He wasn’t much of a dancer, but would swoop in if a young man either didn’t respect my engagement ring or my polite, “No, thank you. I’m taken.”
His stares would definitely raise the ire of these pink vest people; they were lethal.
Because the women that go to that feel preyed upon. Some men ruin it for others with their obnoxious behavior. They will stalk women in the club and harass them throughout the night. Sex addicts that are addicted to porn are the worse. Those chronic wankers live in fantasy world and act out like they are in one. When a women rebuffs the man’s advances, the sex addicted gets angry because in his porn deluded fantasy, all women say yes to him. That’s when rapes happen. Stopping men from starring will stop him from fantasizing and reduce the chances of unwanted sexual behavior.
