I bet Kari Lake won't lose. The issue is that Republicans have made it their own platform that they will do nothing - nothing - to thwart the Democrats dismantling of America. So why should I, or anyone else show up and vote for them?

Have you seen the primary support for Trump backed candidates? Look, the populace is near desperate for anyone who will stand up and fight, but McConnell and McCarthy have an ironclad policy of not doing anything, outside of issuing a stern press release perhaps.

Millions, tens of millions have been invading our country illegally, why haven't McCarthy and McConnell developed a strategy to stop this blatant violation of our national law? Is there any other country on the entire planet that is allowing this? Where are the Republicans?

Student loan forgiveness. Almost certainly unconstitutional on its face, and not a peep from anybody except perhaps Peter Doucey.

It is as clear as the nose on your face that McConnell, McCarthy and the rest of their eunuchs don't anything to do with Conservatives or anyone who they feel is tainted by Trump. They are quite happy to keep their snouts in the financial trough to enrich themselves and let Democrats dismantle this country, brick by brick.

Keep your RINO trash.

Trump has what? A 90% success rate for, those he endorsed? And the left are saying “trouble abounds for the gop” because one election didn’t go for republican?

It’s not an isolated case as you want to rationalize it.

People here are going to shrug off all the warning signs and then cry "voter fraud!" when Republicans lose.

Republicans do not do vote harvesting. Their excuse is
“we are better than them”. Losing elections is better than cheating is how republicans operate.

McConnell would rather be a minority leader than no leader at all and is pushing McDaniel to do nothing or just continue doing what she has been doing.

Not even counting Alaska. Nebraska, Minnesota, NY.

If Republicans are struggling in Republican districts, how will they win swing districts?

Californian here. Blue districts most are. No need to vote.

Yes, the Kansas vote was definitely a bad event. And, as I said after the vote, I predict that many states, or at least many deep blue counties, will almost certainly put an advisory abortion referendum on their 2024 ballot for purposes of juicing liberal turnout, just like many states did with the Marijuana referendums.

But honestly, I look at it this way, if there is not a significant turnaround in the 2022 and 2024 votes then the fate of this country is sealed. There will be no turning back outside of divine intervention. Yes, I honestly believe this. The societal breakdown will likely speed up and approach a Mad Max post modern world.

I’ve seen few GOP candidates who are as technocratic & dull as Molinaro.

Plus Marc Molinaro did not vote for Trump in 2016 and so preferred Hillary.

If I lived in the NY 19th District, I would reluctantly pull the lever for him in the November election but no way would I trouble myself to go out and vote for him in a meaningless special election in the middle of summer.

This special election was no bellwether on the MAGA movement because Molinaro is not MAGA.

Yup. And about 50% of those voters voted ONLY on the abortion question. What that tells me is that Kansas (with its Democrat governor) has a major vote fraud problem.

The GOP is in a bit of trouble right now. The abortion ruling brought the move of suburban women to the GOP to a screeching halt. Yesterday Biden attempted to buy maybe 20 million votes or more with his loan cancellation. His price? 10K pervote. That’s a hefty payment and there will be many who take him up on his offer. Combined with the potential for cheating, the clear divide between GOPe and MAGA, and the cheerleading media, the Progs could actually win in Nov. Unless the GOP gets off its ass, provides real positive reasons to vote Rep and calls a ceasefire between its warring factions we could actually lose.

Correct.

The way for the GOP to win is to hammer hard in the Latino community the woke agenda and tranny agenda that’s being pushed on kids.

That’s how they win. But they dont’ really WANT to win is the problem.

FTA:

“Molinaro has a good chance of flipping the seat in the November rematch, thanks to the roughly 170,000 voters who will join the red wave that will hit the country in the midterms, says pollster Rich Baris, director of Big Data Poll, ‘People’s Pundit.’”

Umm, maybe the GOP voters were enjoying one of the remaining evenings with kids before school and homework fights start.

Maybe they just didn’t see going out and voting was worth the effort this time around when they get another chance in a few months.

I left Illionois in 1998. So glad I did. But made excellent living in Chicago area. Next move was CA but Left CA in 13 months in 1999. Horrible state to live! Next Spent 17 years in southern WA state. It was good place to live. Weather on banks of Columbia river was great for year round golf. Left WA state in 2016. Moved to Florida. Love this state and the governor. I plan to live out rest of my life in Florida. So long as the A/C is working, it is a wonderful place to live. At age 82, I am in shockingly good health, surprising myself. It must be the regular gym exercise.

I trust Miranda Devine, but I think here that she is buying into a narrative advanced by the leftist media.

They have been waiting for ONE piece of good election news to extrapolate into a blue wave or something.

Here it is, in a place where a GOP candidate is fighting an uphill battle from the get go, even in a supposedly “Republican” district.

What bothers me a bit is this. Many here and in the conservative media preach, day in and day out, how the leftist media and institutions cannot be trusted. YET, the second that media advances a premise, it is instantly jumped on as a sign of the end of times!!!

Ever notice that the democrats have lost some pretty significant races? Yet, there is not extrapolation there, oh no.

The only issue the democrats have to hang their hats on is abortion. That is it. And here comes an election that they win, in a place where they should pretty much win (democrat seat, filled by a democrat) in a state where conservatives are bailing from. Low and behold, the media sells this as proof that:

Open borders don’t matter.
Rampant crime doesn’t matter.
Critical race theory and grooming in our schools doesn’t matter.
Rising costs of living in the form of gas and inflation doesn’t matter.
A recession doesn’t matter.

Oh no, the ONLY thing that matters is abortion as witnessed by this election in a state that clearly is representative of America. I mean, every body form Iowa secretly identifies as a New Yorker, same with Alabama and Texas and Arizona.

Or, how about this. We, the people who post here and regularly note that the media is agenda driven, treat them as such and EVERY story they advance as such. How about that?

Might this truly be a bellwether and a bad sign for the GOP? I suppose. But before I concede that, I will put on my critical thinking hat and wonder why Cheney’s huge loss wasn’t a bad sign for the dems (since it shows Jan. 6th isn’t selling well) or school boards flipping from dems isn’t a bad sign for them. Etc.

And then, I will wonder why that media that is pushing this story (doom for the GOP) isn’t factoring other results into their stories. Hmmmm?

“People here are going to shrug off all the warning signs and then cry “voter fraud!” when Republicans lose.”

They deny facts and attack the messengers.
