Dr. Mehmet Oz, who earned former President Donald Trump’s primary-race endorsement in April, is going down in flames according to a new GOP poll.
Republican-affiliated Public Opinion Strategies reports that surgeon-turned-TV-host Dr. Oz trails Democrat John Fetterman by nearly 20 points!
Trump gave Oz his “complete and total endorsement” before the wide-open GOP primary of six candidates, a move that probably sealed the deal with Pennsylvania Republicans.
The doc won in a squeaker, barely beating out second-place finisher David McCormick, 31.2% to 31.1%.
The former president praised Oz’s positions on abortion, crime, the Second Amendment, border security, the military, education, energy independence, and election fraud. Those are all well and good, but before lending an endorsement, someone in Trump’s position first needs to determine whether the recipient is at all likely to win the general election.
In Dr. Oz’s case, right now that’s a big, fat NO.
Let’s face it: He is not a good candidate.
After winning his primary, Oz went AWOL.
While Fetterman was literally incapacitated by a stroke, the doc failed to capitalize on a prime opportunity to define himself and his prone opponent:
Recent reporting suggests that Oz might not have taken advantage of those several weeks where Fetterman was sidelined, a significant span of time during a race that could be integral to party control of the Senate.
Puck is reporting that the former TV personality was in Palm Beach, Florida, until June 9 at least, not holding his first post-primary event until June 10. Oz reportedly also traveled to Ireland to visit family at the end of June and did not return until early July.

You need two thirds to impeach Thomas. He ain’t going anywhere
My representative is Steve Scalise, who palmed himself off as a conservative and all round great guy. Even after the rat commies made a definite effort to murder him all hiding Steve can say is ‘can’t we just get along’. This year I will vote for one of the non party candidates. I encourage all Freepers in this district to vote against hiding Steve. I hear this rhetoric each election about all these ‘great patriots’ the GOP is running and all I see is the kind of cowardice that surrounds the Gopers absolute refusal to utter a peep about the way people arrested for doing nothing much on Jan 6 are being subjected to Soviet styled abuse. Hiding Steve is one of those Gopers who refuses to even take a question on the subject. The rats are communists and the Gopers are crooks and cowards.
Nothing wrong with Oz...
ummmm...hes 75 years old and not in the best health....
Agree entirely.
The fix is in.
It doesn’t matter who the candidate is, for Senate or governor. Philadelphia will not allow a Republican to win, even if they happen to be 20 points ahead.
Just another anti-Trump anti-Oz piece.
“The rats are communists and the Gopers are crooks and cowards.”
You vote for other than the Pub Party, you are dooming the Jan 6’ers to rot in jail and/or never get vindication, as the Rats will remain in power. You will be doing the Jan 6 incarcerated patriots no favors and their prison records will not be wiped clean. We need to keep our Republican majority and have Trump win to put things right. Trump has publicly stated that he will pardon most Jan 6’ers once back in office.
There is zero benefit to running down Oz at this point. I hope he wins. And if he does not, start the post mortem on November 9th, not now.
The Senate is a done deal. The GOP doesn’t have strong enough candidates this time around. Time to concentrate on winning some seats in the House and maybe take the majority there.
Hiding Steve will undoubtably win. It would be pleasant for that faker to see his numbers get pounded down in November. And again, I hear all this stuff every election cycle and we end up Eyepatch McCain types as the ‘new wave ‘ of Republicans. Remember him, a certifyable war hero one of these great people who were going to do so much for the GOP.
This polling firm has accurately predicted the results only 68% of the time, FFS!
DJT is not responsible for the Philadelphia Mob and its fraud network.
Oz was the only practical choice from a dearth of reasonable choices.
DJT also endorsed Doug Mastriano. Was that a mistake too? No!
Learn about Doug and understand he’s DeSantis X 3.
I always figured Hannity as a deep state stooge who’s purpose is to mislead less informed conservatives.
Great summary.
New American past time - lying to pollsters.(I hope)
And when will people realize that dual citizenship is not a big deal....First because Oz was born in the United States, was schooled, married and raised his children in the United States.
Cruz had dual ciizenship and I believe that there are 39 members of Congress who hold dual citizenship. My best friends daughter has dual citizenship...born in Germany during the Nam conflict.
“Rather than talking about polling and Oz’ shortcomings conservatives should be trashing Fetterman with gusto 24/7 until Election Day.”
That made me laugh because it is so true. We are now stuck with Oz, and people would prefer to preen and strut on how right they were to oppose Oz and how Trump was wrong to support Oz based on polls. How often have polls been right when it comes to face offs between Republicans and democrats?
From my vantage point, there was no Republican candidate that was all that outstanding in this race in Pennsylvania.
It is indeed time for Republicans to slam Fetterman and support Oz. Oz being a Muslim is unpleasant, but democrats wildly celebrate their Muslim politicians.
I guess there’s an over abundance of morons and schmucks in PA that would even vote for DemoRats with their destructive policies. C’mon it takes a real idiot to support and vote for Uncle Fester Fetterman a DemoRat.
“Fetterman is a hard-core leftist and is simply a weird, off-putting dude. Also, he had a severe stroke and looks like hell. He can barely speak.”
And somehow, through it all, he’s even more popular. I guess PA loves Big Brother after all.
