(Translation)

The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested former constitutional Governor of Puerto Rico Wanda Vázquez at her residence in the Montehiedra neighborhood in the early hours of the morning today.

It has been indicated that Vázquez is at the FBI building.

Vázquez's arrest comes a little over two months after the team of attorneys of who is also the [island's] former Attorney General anticipated her possibly being charged at the federal level with election fraud.

[News/talk-radio station] NotiUno 630 reported that a group of prosecutors from the Division of Public Integrity of the federal Department of Justice based in Washington had concluded an investigation against Vázquez. It was reported that two of her campaign and Governor's Mansion collaborators - Lillian Sánchez and Marisol Blasco — testified before the grand jury that is investigating alleged irregularities related to election donations during the 2020 primary process.

The story goes back to an invitation Vázquez received to a meeting with bankers, at least one of them having given her donations in exchange for stopping an investigation against his bank that operates in Puerto Rico since 2009.

Vázquez had already given her cellular telephone to the federal authorities previously and said at the time that she was willing to cooperate.

It was said that the federal authorities had arrest warrants for two other people.

The very same idiot who blamed Trump for “Maria” and complained Trump send no relief supplies while standing in front of pallets of relief supplies inside a warehouse full of relief supplies. There were so many relief supplies she ordered them stored outside where they rotted away in the tropical sun. She, of all people, should have know The Bog Guy better get his cut.

But it’s not her, Vázquez is a Trump supporter.

Yes. That’s correct. She was complaining about Trump not getting supplies to PR all the while truckloads and pallet-loads of stuff were in the background behind her. The problem was she couldn’t work out with the local teamsters how to distribute it all. I guess she’d not yet worked out her ‘cut’ in the process.

Big-mouth Cruz ended her second term as Mayor of San Juan in January of last year. Since then, she has become a nobody in the island’s political scene.

“The classic knock on your door at 3:00 AM.”

That’s what the FBI does. They do not stop by at lunch or by invitation right before dinner.

It's also safer - for the perp and the agents. Not a lot of fight in people at 5 AM... (if they weren't using this as a tactic against old men Republicans who are political enemies of white liberal 'elites' I'd be fine with it)

The FBI arresting someone for election fraud? Now, that’s rich!

Wow, you got everything in your story wrong.

The person you alude to was not the former governor of Puerto Rico, but the former mayor of San Juan.

The Teamsters didn’t have anything to do with the hurricane relief delivery issues.

This arrest doesn’t have anything to do with the hurricane.

Now you can scoot your ass on back to the post to which I replied and say I was wrong about her. My use of the word teamster was shorthand for truck delivery issues with the drivers. BTW I never implied or otherwise said the arrest was due to a hurricane. Now go screw off smart ass.

Nope. This was one of only three Republican governors that PR has had since elections for said office were established and she wasn’t even elected.
