Former Lehigh County congressman Charles Dent and former Bucks County congressman Jim Greenwood, both Republicans, have endorsed Democratic state Attorney General Josh Shapiro in his campaign for governor over Republican nominee Doug Mastriano.
“I’ve been a Republican my entire life, and I have always supported Pennsylvania’s Republican Governors – but in this election, I am proud to endorse Josh Shapiro,” Dent said in a statement released by Shapiro’s campaign.
Josh has integrity and always works to bring people together. We may not always agree on every policy position, but that is to be expected. His focus on improving our economy, strengthening our schools, and keeping our communities safe is what Pennsylvania needs now.”
Dent’s statement said “Mastriano, on the other hand, is an extremist who is a threat to the rule of law and the constitutional order.”
Shapiro’s campaign quoted Greenwood as saying he also had votyed for the Republican candidate for governor throughout his life, “but I cannot vote for someone as extreme and dangerous as Doug Mastriano.”
Others listed as supporting Shapiro over Mastriano are Montgomery County’s Sandra Schultz Newman, former justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court; former Buck County state representative Dave Steil; former Montgomery County state representative Lita Cohen; and former Montgomery County GOP Chairman Ken Davis.
Also, former state House Speaker Denny O'Brien, former Lt. Gov. Robert Jubelirer and Lawrence County Commissioners Chairman Morgan Boyd.

Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
I am screaming passed. I had hope of remaining in Pennsylvaia but these losers in the republican party make it impossible. We will never get back to getting our own energy from the ground. These ar3 the people that are instituting a carbon tax or their Green initiative that will cause energy prices to skyrocket further. They make me sick. You never ever see Democrats do what they are doing. Damn these weasels.

Who's "he"? Thanks in advance.
Extreme an dangerous? He must be Ultra MAGA.
Charlie Dent. He was my congressman too.
Dent.
How tall is he?
He is something like 5’4”. When he wears his bulky, ill-fitting suites, it makes him look like a dwarf.
Dent should hide in shame. This news will probably be a topic of interest at the Tea Party tomorrow.
What county are you in?
Chester. Once solid red...too many leftists/liberals, especially Wimmer, managed yo turn it blue. We had a quisling republican in my district, Ryan Costello. He was a delegate. He didn’t show up for the electoral vote. I called and wrote his office and his staff tried to make excuses for him. He was a never Trumper. Then he announces he’s quitting in June of 2028(election year) with no time to vet and fund a good replacement, which allowed that despicable Houlahan to waltz in with her Zuckerberg and Soros bucks and win that seat. 2020 was even worse. We HAVE to recover some lost ground here or Chester county will be remembered for what it once was....
“WIMMEN”,Not wimmer...
They were never Republicans. Derp State Demonrats. Greenwood is especially a Moloch-worshipping infanticide ghoul.
It’s outrageous that they’re proud of doing this. They have no shame.
That is why in certain offices that are about R+6 it’s better to let the DEM win & come back 2 years later with our own candidate
There’s a few Rinos here that won’t be getting my vote on Nov. If they win their primary.
No. I’m never, ever a believer in “losing to win.” Aside from Fabius, name one general in history who was even near parity with the enemy who deliberately retreated long term to win. I’m not talking about a feint on the battlefield to draw in an enemy.
It just doesn’t happen because it’s too dangerous and too many votes take place (as we saw yesterday-—would be kinda nice to have had Perdue in the Senate still).
Some individuals are so bad, so odious, that to elect them as “Republicans” would cause even worse damage in the long term. McQueeg, Willard the Rat are two premier examples.
Still, find me a general, ever who wins by losing. I’ll find you a long term loser.
