No. I’m never, ever a believer in “losing to win.” Aside from Fabius, name one general in history who was even near parity with the enemy who deliberately retreated long term to win. I’m not talking about a feint on the battlefield to draw in an enemy.
It just doesn’t happen because it’s too dangerous and too many votes take place (as we saw yesterday-—would be kinda nice to have had Perdue in the Senate still).
Some individuals are so bad, so odious, that to elect them as “Republicans” would cause even worse damage in the long term. McQueeg, Willard the Rat are two premier examples.
Not for Senate seats.
Recall Doug Hoffman ‘09. The RINOs voted Dem to keep him out of Congress. They came back with their own candidate 2 years later ... the Hoffman crowd didn’t vote for him.
