MIAMI - A Florida rapper was arrested by police this weekend after a jet ski chase in Miami. Nehemiah Harden, also known as "SpotemGottem," was arrested after an officer spotted a black and orange Seadoo jet ski in a restricted zone with posted signs, according to a Miami Police arrest affidavit obtained by FOX Television Stations Tuesday.

It’s a designated area of a waterway where all boats under power are not permitted cause enough waves to do damage to docked boats and structures in the area.
Around here they’re call “No Wake” zones, meaning your not allowed to travel fast enough to create a wake. Idiots who violate them can do serious damage to property and infrastructure. People have been killed in some cases.
Having owned a few boats and seen the damage these morons cause I’d have no problem if the cops tuned his ass up right there on the side of the road.

Operators of these craft often act as though they have carte blanche to act like Hell’s Angels on water.
I live on a canal connected with direct access to many lakes in the region. There are NO WAKE signs everywhere, including IDLE ZONE ONLY zones for good reason.
Some people feel as though they are entitled to ignore such signs and will produce sizable wakes therefor bashing moored boats into seawalls, docks, etc.
They consistently buzz other boats and people in the water just to be a**holes.

Violating a No Wake zone is taken very seriously by the water cops around here. People have been killed getting crushed between boats and structure when some idiot threw a wake.
I’ve seen enough idiocy on the water to swear off recreational boating for the rest of my life. The only exception is fishing. And even then I’m a bit twitchy.
Things people would never dream of doing with a car they will do driving a boat. I’ve literally seen people stomping on the floor looking for a brake pedal trying to stop before they slammed into something.
Guess what, chucklehead. Boats don’t have brakes!

In June 2017, Harden was arrested and charged with grand theft auto and carrying a concealed weapon in Duval County, Florida.[2]
On July 15, 2021, he was arrested for aiming a pistol with a laser sight at a Miami Marriott hotel garage attendant and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, firearm possession as a convicted felon, and accessory after the fact.[3]
On September 17, 2021, Harden was shot in the hip in a drive-by shooting while driving his car on the I-95 freeway in Miami.[4]
On June 26, 2022 Harden was arrested for fleeing from the police and reckless operation of a boat. The incident happened when Harden was driving a wave runner in a restricted area. When approached by an officer, Harden weaved through parked boats and swimmers to elude the officer
