You are responsible for the damage your wake causes.
Operators of these craft often act as though they have carte blanche to act like Hell’s Angels on water.
I live on a canal connected with direct access to many lakes in the region. There are NO WAKE signs everywhere, including IDLE ZONE ONLY zones for good reason.
Some people feel as though they are entitled to ignore such signs and will produce sizable wakes therefor bashing moored boats into seawalls, docks, etc.
They consistently buzz other boats and people in the water just to be a**holes.

The navigable waters are a public resource and, as such, must be kept open to peoples of all ethnic backgrounds, income levels, employment statuses and gender identities.
