CNN)President Joe Biden on Saturday signed into law the first major federal gun safety legislation passed in decades, marking a significant bipartisan breakthrough on one of the most contentious policy issues in Washington.

This isn’t representative government.

All gun free zones are potential kill zones...if your planning a mass shooting why wouldn’t you go to a place you know everyone is unarmed?
It’s freakin’ stupid.
I go in places all the time that say “no firearms allowed”. Unless they got a metal detector I’m carrying...and they can KMA.
My take is that the new law contains elements that are contrary to the 2nd amendment. The law can be challenged and struck down includindg all of the provisions.
It was therefore necessary for some Republicans to vote for it.
The Democrats know this but needed a guncontrol win for publicity.
So, passage is a rotten political win-win situation
and no change in Chicago , the body count increases

Gun owners nationwide can breathe a sigh of relief now that joe-pampers who is so concerned that gun owners firearms are now safe from liberals. That’s what a ‘gun safety’ bill is all about, right? I always thought that was what the little button marked ‘safe’ on a gun was for. /S
