State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters Thursday that the Biden administration is aware of a third American possibly missing in Ukraine. CNN subsequently identified that American as Grady Kurpasi, a veteran of the U.S. Marines, citing his wife.
Price said Thursday that the U.S. government had not confirmed the reports of the missing Americans but said officials were closely monitoring the situation. The State Department has been in contact with the individuals’ families, the Ukrainian government and the Red Cross, Price said.
The U.S. had not spoken to Russia about their cases as of Thursday, Price said, and does not have reason to believe the individuals are being held by the Russians.

Maybe they dropped dead.
He didn’t care about the hundreds/thousands left behind in Afghanistan.
Why would he care about these?
Not the Luhansk or Donetsk militias.
Luhansk or Donetsk will punch their tickets after "a fair trial and a quick sentencing".
I can say with complete assurance that our Neocons aren’t among those three Americans
“Dead or captured. Dunno why they are saying they have no reason to believe individuals are held by Russia when there has been an interview.”
Considering that the credibility of the Western Media is about 90% WRONG in this war, I’d say calling people who are being interviewed as ‘dead’ is about par for the course.
If they instead said they were still alive, that would fall into the remaining 10%.
“They WANT to be held by the Russians. Not the Luhansk or Donetsk militias. Luhansk or Donetsk will punch their tickets after “a fair trial and a quick sentencing”.
Good point, I noted on a truthful website that they said they IMMEDIATELY surrendered to the Russians...which reminds me of the Germans surrendering on the Western Front during WW2 - whenever they could.
These aren’t innocent citizens caught up in a war or kidnapped for political purposes. These are men who volunteered to fight under another country’s flag, and they have the freedom to do such. But they should have no expectation that their country will come to their aid. This is a play the game, accept the rewords or penalties situation.
This really is like Carter 2.0 complete with hostages!
“He didn’t care about the hundreds/thousands left behind in Afghanistan. Why would he care about these?”
Exactly. These Americans are just “volunteers” / “mercenaries” / “CONTRACTORS”.
If they are not on the US payroll, so what? Do-gooders fly to African countries and die/get killed all the time. Cause of war?
Only if they were “volunteers” sheep-dipped “contractors” who are in truth mercenaries paid by Uncle Sam.
These guys went there of their own free will. They weren’t abandoned like in shytho... er I mean Afghanistan
Now they know it was a dumb thing to do.
Probably shouldn’t go to Ukraine
Ok pedo jo…you have been briefed…I’m sure Putin and Kadyrov are visibly scared now…
“Was briefed” or “Filled his briefs”? Likely both, the pedotard…
“That was four days ago, five days ago!”
I know they are getting really pissed off at the increased shelling by American artillery and rockets into nothing but civilian areas killing and wounding civilians including women and children...It’s nothing but punishment artillery, otherwise known as WAR CRIMES. So yeah, when foreigners are caught, they tend to not be treated so well by the locals.

There are hundreds if not thousands of Americans who go missing in other countries every year.
If you choose to go to another country, you do so at your own risk and should count on absolutely ZERO assistance from the US Government. (I say that as somebody who lives in another country, takes care of my own security in that country, and have a bug-out plan in place if something goes sideways where I’m at. At no point does that plan include requesting support from the US Embassy)
Biden should concentrate on the thousands of children who go missing in the US every year rather than on some adults who choose to go to another country (for whatever reason they chose to go)
Not really Biden’s problem if Americans made the choice to join the Ukrainian Army. Of course I do not support them doing that but I can respect them for making that choice as long as they are willing to face the consequences.
