A Democratic senator who has been a politician since 1975 assured Americans on Tuesday that if they purchase an electric vehicle that cost more than many of them make in one year, they can laugh as they pass gas stations, as she did on the way to Washington.
Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., was addressing the issue of record-high prices at the pump during a Senate hearing.
"I do just have to say, on the issue of gas prices, after waiting for a long time to have enough trips in this country to finally get my electric vehicle, I got it and I drove it from Michigan to here this last weekend and went by every single gas station and it didn’t matter how high it was," the senator said.

I’ve read this quote and just now saw the clip for the first time. I guess she’s used her millions to pay a mad scientist to reanimate her corpse. She looks like hell. Then again, Feinstein is my senator, so maybe no room to criticize.
After I vote myself a 21% pay increase off the US taxpayers, maybe I could also get me a fancy electric car.
Makes me wonder if electric cars are the new Obama phone.
If I run out of gas while driving my planet killing combustion engine death machine, I find the closest gas station, buy more gas, return to my car and continue my journey. If the battery in my Woken Savior® EV coupe runs out of juice I call a flat bed transporter.

Do you remember the excitement of getting your first car? It meant freedom and independence, two things that liberals hate most.
When everyone has electric cars we will be tied to the government controlled electric grid and they can then allocate electricity to the masses as they deem appropriate. No more suburbs or rural living for you! You will live in your pods in densely populated cities getting around in public transportation or electric golf carts and be grateful.
And how long did it take her to charge it?? And how much did the car cost? And how many gas vehicles does she own. You know damn well it’s not her only car.
