Americans are becoming less supportive of punishing Russia for launching its invasion of Ukraine if it comes at the expense of the U.S. economy, a sign of rising anxiety over inflation and other challenges, according to a new poll.
The shifts in opinion reflect how rising prices are biting into American households — surging costs for gas, groceries, and other commodities have strained budgets for millions of people — and perhaps limiting their willingness to support Ukraine financially. That may be a troubling sign for President Joe Biden, who on Saturday approved an additional $40 billion in funding to help Ukraine

AP implying that “punishing Russia” is the reason the economy and inflation suck. If it weren’t for those pesky russkies, things would just be peachy.
Do you still have that full frontal of Luntz? It was wonderful.
Americans, in general, don’t care about international issues. It’s just too bad that our elected officials spend so much time and (our) money on them

Senators should focus their energies on ISIS, illegal immigration and border security instead of always looking to start World War III.

51%? That's an awful lot of unpatriotic Putlerite hatemongers! (/sarc)
Punishing Russia was a farce. Trump handled Putin well. Xiden’s actions have been moronic.
The American elites are looking to use Ukraine as a piggy bank. Why did we do nothing when Crimea was invaded? Because it didn’t interfere with Hunter Biden’s activities.
Same for Georgia...and Kazakhstan.
Trump wanted to protect Ukraine AND stop the corruption. He got impeached.
American interests are money laundering, grifting, globaloid hegemony and having a CIA/military complex playground.
See tagine.
It’s good that a few more Americans are waking up, but less than a dozen in Congress objected to that mammoth $40 billion aid bill for Ukraine, and that’s what counts. How many more billions will these grifters send over there before finally paying attention to what the people think?
Stupid assed neocons don’t care what Americans think or want.
Oh man, Mark Levin is sad for sure. For some stupid reason I decided to flip him on during my drive yesterday. He was playing clips of Reagan, as if America is anything like 1982 right now, let alone the Soviet Union even existing. Would’ve only been more pathetic if he was also trying to sell his book. He’s a very talented radio personality, but way past his use by date. It’s a different fight now, our key enemy of the day is the Davos oligarchs, and from what I can tell Zelensky is their puppet. So yeah, no support for Ukraine is my position.
The oligarchs are not Pacific rim and thus are archaic
I’ve also asked several times, seriously and not confrontationally. So far the only response I got that even tried was one that said “well you tell me why it wouldn’t be.” Is the default in the USA now “all wars are in our interest unless you can prove otherwise?”
