Must be an election coming up for him to say that... 🙄

The SC says that this ISN’T a federal issue. So a federal law wouldn’t be valid.

No....He believes that most people have a conscience and that abortion can only be murder of a human being at an early stage of its development. And that development begins at conception.

Perhaps Mr. McConnell could show me where in the United States Constitution the House AND Senate have this supposed ability?
I have looked several times, and I am at a complete loss where he sees the authority given.

Not with him in charge.
That guy could screw up depositing a million dollar tax refund, so badly that Kamala Harris would wind up with it.

You’d better hope he’s wrong - because if Congress can do that, they can also have national pro-abortion legislation, which would be much, much more likely to pass.

Why is he even opening his mouth? All this is going to do is stir up a particular group in the Democratic Party. Just let this lie. Besides I doubt he would sign that any more than most of the Republicans in Congress.

This was always a state issue, the federal government should just stay out of it.
Some states will always allow it, some won’t.
If you want to kill your baby you can go visit one of many states that are preparing to become Abortion Destinations.

There should be 50 State laws that define personhood as a human being from the moment of conception. There should be a federal law (or preferably a constitutional amendment) that does the same.
I’m not a fan of abortion laws because they deny the fundamental issue: a baby in the womb is as much a person as a baby who’s been born.
If they pass personhood laws then existing homicide laws can deal with the slaughter.

Deep State is threatening wayward Dems.
Keep voting for our candidates or there goes your access to abortion.
I hate to break it to pro-choicers, but if Deep State isn’t stopped, a lack of access to legal abortion will be the least of their problems.

He is using the same talking points as the dems: that the GOP wants to ban abortion nationwide at the federal level when they certainly lack the votes, the will and the constitutional authority to do that. It will only serve to energize the left and rouse soccer moms to take the bait the dems have been serving up.
He's trying to finish the job he started by helping to have the GOP yield all the redistricting fights to democrats by "incompetence": keep the dems competetive so if needed they can stop Trump and probably DeSantis if it comes to it in 2024.
