At least three people were killed and 14 others were wounded, including a 15-year-old girl and two 17-year-old boys, in Chicago over the weekend.
Two men were found dead in a home Friday in Gresham on the South Side. Officers responded about 6:30 p.m. to a home in the 8300 block of South Sangamon Street and found the bodies of two men, both 51, Chicago police said. One of the men had a gunshot wound to his head, police said. Both deaths were ruled homicides.
A girl, 15, was in an alley in the 5900 block of West Patterson Avenue about 1:30 p.m. Saturday when someone fired shots, police said. She was hit in the knee and was taken to Community First Medical Center in good condition, police said.
A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon in Lawndale on the West Side. The teen was inside a car in the 2300 block of South Kostner Avenue when another car drove by and someone inside fired shots about 5:15 p.m., police said.
Hours later, another 17-year-old boy was shot while walking on a sidewalk in Little Village. The teen was in the 2800 block of South Kedvale Avenue about 11 p.m. when he was struck in the left hand by gunfire, police said.
At least eight others were wounded in shootings in Chicago from 5 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
