Republicans have spent hours this week trying to portray Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as an extremist on issues of race and an apologist for child sexual abusers. Late Tuesday, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Republican of Tennessee, added another social issue to the list of cultural grievances the G.O.P. is foisting upon her in her confirmation hearings: gender — specifically, what makes a woman a woman.
Transgender rights are dominating outrage on the right, after the Republican governors of Indiana and Utah vetoed bans on the participation of transgender women in women’s sports in recent days and a transgender swimmer, Lia Thomas, won a collegiate swimming championship.
Ms. Blackburn brought that swimmer up late Tuesday as Judge Jackson’s first day of questioning was coming to a close, then asked, “Can you provide a definition for the word ‘woman’?”
As she and other judicial nominees before her have done regularly, Judge Jackson dodged the question as outside of her role on the bench, saying, “I’m not a biologist.”
But Ms. Blackburn pressed the point — and the hot-button issue.

It wasn’t that she wasn’t a biologist.
It’s that she wasn’t a mind reader.
The definitions are changing so fast right now, you can’t ever
give a solid answer. You have to look for a way out instead.
Maybe that's because she is an extremist on issues of race and an apologist for child sexual abusers? Just a hunch of course.
And where was the concern over the Democrats trying to portray Kavanaugh as a sexual predator? These people can just kiss my ---
since she doesn’t even know what makes her a woman, maybe she should ask the jo Brandon since he picked her specifically because of it...
Injected politics? Sheesh, these hearings are ALL politics. Always have been.
Nice punch line.
Someone said “Clarence Thomas should come bac k and declare himself the first black woman on the supreme court
A Great thing to tell her would be “Well, since you can’t define a woman, how are you gonna be the first woman on the SC?”
As if the commie ‘RATS’ NEVER introduce “gender politics” into the Supreme Court Justice hearing. What a bunch of morons.
‘A: I can’t tell, I’m not Jersey Trash”
__________
Easy now...
Win or lose the simple fact that Republicans just accept what they claim is an inevitable confirmation is unacceptable. Romney claims he will vote for this radical so McConnell and others get a pass. Once again so disappointing but expected. And people wonder why voters like myself are committed to TRUMP.
But Springsteen is awful. I mean, I heard he made large contributions to Asbury Park charities anonymously- he gets props for that. But his music, his "blue collar normal guy" act, and everything else embodies the worst elements of Wildwood, Cherry Hill, and all of Bergen County,
My cockerels won’t lay eggs. What can I do about it?
I would not know. I am not a veterinarian.
If Republicans were smart, one of their Convention prime time speakers will repeat all these lines.
XY <— male
XX <— female
Problem?
She was the dumbest person in the room.
Remember “Believe All Women”?
Never mind. Don’t know who they are.
The follow up is:
Since when does a person have to be a biologist to know what a woman is?
I dontseeho she can function as a person, much less a judge, if she cant dedine what a woman is.
