Many Americans have grown increasingly numb from a seemingly endless stream of dispiriting stories highlighting our political leaders’ fading commitment to democracy. However, if anything has the potential to awaken us from our stupor of exhaustion, it must be the recent news that Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, attended the Jan. 6 populist rally at the Ellipse in Washington, which preceded that day's Capitol riot.
Thomas and her political activities have long raised eyebrows. Thomas is a conservative activist, with close ties to organizations that support many causes and positions that parallel cases that have appeared, and will continue to appear, before the court. It is rare, if not unheard of, for the spouse of a justice to play such a prominent and active role in partisan politics, if only because this might create the potential appearance of impropriety. A judge, of course, is expected to objectively apply the law, without a preconceived commitment to a particular outcome.
The American people, however, are not fools. While we may hope, and believe, that judges make their best effort to remain fair and impartial, people likely understand that the modern Supreme Court decides many issues that overlap with our most deeply held beliefs — whether it is gun rights or abortion, LGBTQ rights or religious freedom. Jan. 6, however, is entirely different terrain.
As the retiring Justice Stephen Breyer warned us in his wise dissent in Bush v. Gore, a rare decision that diverged from the court’s democracy-sustaining record, the public’s confidence in the court is a hard-earned “public treasure” that we can’t afford to take for granted. For the sake of preserving that confidence, Justice Clarence Thomas should commit to recusing himself from any matters relating to the events of Jan. 6.

Now ask yourself would you rather have Ginni Thomas or Hunter Biden as a friend and relative? Which one is more honest?

Have a nice day-
The only problem the left has with Ginny Thomas is that she’s the wrong color
They want to take out Justice Thomas so bad. He should beware of pillow’s.
Where does it say she surrendered her right to free speech because of her husband’s job?

Thanks! Right on the Money!
Liberal judges “FAIR AND IMPARTIAL”???? I don’t think so. Not in a MILLION YEARS will a liberal judge go off liberal script. Nope. Won’t happen. They follow what their lords tell them to do. That is how they got to be liberal judges. Do as you are TOLD TO DO on cases.
Oh?
Then just WHO voted for Biden?
Now NBC merely has to quote The Star-Ledger...
Oh yes our wonderful Supreme Court who wouldn’t even allow hearing any of the election fraud. Not one judge; not one lower court judge and not one Supreme Court judge. Keep telling us how wonderful the Supreme Court is media. Keep telling us how we can trust the judges.
The new junta is staffing their totalitarian judiciary— in all these steps. The substitution of the revolutionist Marxists of “their” judges. We, of course do not have to obey them, and neither do the globalist corporatists US corporations if they were so goaded and scared by these apparatchiks.
Democrats fought Bork, Thomas, and Kavanaugh tooth and nail, but their candidates can’t be opposed.
The President has a son..... you know laptop, drugs, Ukraine. Seems to be much more of a problem for our Republic to me.
Clarence Thomas is a great supreme court justice, and NBC can’t stand that.
NBC has a Justice Thomas problem.
I don’t think she even stayed to see the speech. I believe she said she got cold and went home.
The Deep State Media would love to "help" that process along, by making the Thomases miserable.
Breaking news, he is hospitalized with flu like symptoms
