Nearly half of single women in the U.S.—a larger percentage than single men or married couples—supported or were actively involved in racial justice protests in 2020, according to a gender-based giving study released Tuesday, coinciding with the International Women’s Day.
Around 48.2% of single women surveyed supported racial justice causes, such as Black Lives Matter, Say Her Name, and others, compared to 40.9% for single men, and 40.3% for married/partnered couples, according to the report titled Women Give 2022: Racial Justice, Gender and Generosity by the Women’s Philanthropy Institute (WPI) at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis.
Overall, a much smaller portion of the population (14.2%) actually donated money in support of racial justice.
Compared to single men or couples, single women were also more likely to give to racial justice organizations or grassroots organizations, and to take action by donating to political candidates who supported their views on racial equity issues, according to the report.
“Despite being disproportionately impacted by the global pandemic, women of all backgrounds have contributed to racial justice movements in countless ways, from participating in marches, to financial support, to contacting elected officials to demand police accountability,” Una Osili, associate dean for research and international programs at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, said in the report.
Funded by grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, WPI releases a series of Women Give reports each year, exploring various factors that shape gender-based giving patterns. This attitude survey was conducted online among a general population sample of 2,073 households in May 2021.
The report also looked at how different racial identity groups gave differently to social justice causes. It found that Black households were significantly more likely to indicate support for the 2020 racial justice protests (69.7%)

Interesting. Such young women have a lot to learn.
These are the same women who give money to PETA and the HSUS.
Both of these organizations are responsible for KILLING dogs.
They do not “save them” and “adopt” them. They KILL them.
i agree with that!!
I believe that both of those young ladies holding each end of the banner need a good spanking.
Of course, I will volunteer.
How in tarnation would donating to BLM & Co. help then land a man?
Do they even NEED help?
Last I looked, women own 100% of the p*ssy (a highly sought-after commodity) in the world, and are thus the gatekeepers of "intimacy." Except in Stone Age cultures (read: Muslim countries), they can freely give or withhold it / leverage it.
(Men are the gatekeepers of long-term relationships - but if that's what women want, I still don't see how donating to BLM will improve their chances.)
Regards,
Black is a political term created to promote unity where there is actually extreme diversity.
Black asses are kissed to insure the Democrat party exists. Absent the near total colored vote, the DNC is toast
There is another group of real Americans who are the Afro Heritage minority minority. They are the good guys
Never have-—
Never will-—
Not on any criteria list to ‘land a man’.
No man since Jan 1989 & do NOT need one.
i shopped at Giant and they wanted me to round up too, but the screen would not allow me to say No Thanks.
I had to get help, and the cashier mentioned “it’s only 81 cents” and the charity they are helping was some obscure charity in DC.
I did not donate.
thank the kardashians.....
Single man here - I tried that for years and ran into sooooooo many crazy single women in churches. Not crazy in a good way either.
Excellent!
Years went by and I married a gal I met in a Pentecostal church and she's given me some good years. My pals say the same thing about their wives.
And you and your current wife are how old? And you met when?
