i shopped at Giant and they wanted me to round up too, but the screen would not allow me to say No Thanks.
I had to get help, and the cashier mentioned “it’s only 81 cents” and the charity they are helping was some obscure charity in DC.
I did not donate.
Giant is the parent company of Martins so we were hit up by the same company.
I don’t “round up”, ever.
What really cracks me up is Goodwill asking me to do that.
The CEO of Goodwill is filthy stinking rich.
Ask HIM to “round up” and donate some of his billions.
For God’s sake, I am shopping at Goodwill because I’m broke and I’m supposed to “round up”?!?
I’m beginning to think this ‘round up’ fad was started to keep the cashiers from having to make change. They aren’t very good at it...
