Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Thursday provided a positive update on his wife’s battle with breast cancer, announcing that Casey DeSantis is now considered to be cancer-free.
“I have a positive update about my wife Casey DeSantis,” the governor said in an announcement posted to social media.

I can just see the leftist creepozoid media already composing horrendous items, like “Governor DeSantis is risking his wife’s health, she could easily have a relapse during a tough campaign.”. “is she really all that healthy?”
Remember how they immediately went after Sarah Palin, that 1) she should never have brought a disabled baby into this world. 2) how can she possibly care for her 5 children while working. 3) by agreeing to run with John McCain, she is putting a major spotlight on her 17 year old pregnant daughter.

Unfortunately, you are correct. I knew 4 people who were proclaimed cancer free, and dead within 5 years.

These days, cancer is never considered dead, just dormant. Mrs. DeSantis will have to keep up on her flu shots and other immunizations, since a major illness could trigger a relapse.
Agreed! Democrats are slobbering over the opportunity to "turn Florida blue," and with the substantial election commandeering machine in play, they could get their wish without a pitbull like De Santis out in front.
