“Infrastructure is a problem, and it needs to be fixed. But, don’t actually do anything. Because bicycles.”
He’s queer that’s all
Since Blacks don’t travel, no money for roads
Because ‘Vision Zero’ was so successful.

LOL. How come jobs are not protected ? Because well paying construction jobs are not wanted
Electric scooters and electric bikes need to be regulated and taxed as vehicles. If they want to be motorized, then they should be taxed like other motorized transport. Unless it’s muscle powered, you’re part of the problem.
Does anyone actually like these cyclists that ride in groups and think they own the road? I saw a funny comment somewhere, it showed a cyclist in Kiev and during the conflict a few days ago, he did something and the comment was......”Cyclists are even A holes during a war”..
It was hilarious. I bet most of these cyclists are liberals.
“Golly......all that hate-filled black macadam.”
So, they passed an infrastructure law that won’t actually improve infrastructure. Thanks, RINOs!
Just like the 2009 “shovel ready” stimulus package.
Never trust them when they tell you what’s in the bill. Like Pelosi said, they don’t even know what’s in it.
Because narrow roads are so much safer.
The only road Buttrgirl widens is you-know-where.
That’s so wrong! Should read “Yes, I’m a married woman”.
There was a developer that wanted to develop some land out in the country but still within the city limits (it’s a rural but growing area) along a busy state highway. The city commission insisted that he put in sidewalks on both sides of the road for 3/8 mile in both directions before they would approve his project. Remember that this is an area two miles outside of town in what is now fields and trees. I guess he didn’t cross the right palms with silver.
Well, perhaps you are stuck on the present and not looking to the future.
With the probable growth, sidewalks will be needed
The UK certainly thinks so. They’re doing something similar.
Deep States really hate people driving.
Complete Streets is nothing new and was an Obama era policy.
I agree with right sizing streets and traffic calming. Road sharing for bikes and other pedestrian travel can be done with striping and signage.
Seperate bike lanes is a planners wet dream and in built out locations is nearly impossible to accommodate. Throw in all the other environmental regulations and justice programs and these facilities become as expensive as new road construction projects.
Full disclosure … I am a civil engineer and I deal with this sort of thing all the time in my work.
Like I said, it’s two miles from town and along the busy highway where few people are likely to walk. And the planning commissions are unlikely to improve infrastructure on their own. For example. a large shopping center was built nearby along a two lane road. They didn’t start improving the infrastructure until the shopping center had been completed for about a year.
