Bloomberg: Democrats headed for 'wipeout' in November without immediate course correction
Yahoo News ^ | February 22, 2022

Michael Bloomberg writes in a new op-ed that he is "deeply concerned" the Democratic Party is "headed for a wipeout in November, up and down the ballot."

The former New York City mayor and Democratic presidential candidate points to the recent recall of three school board members in San Francisco while making his argument in Bloomberg News.

"Coming from America's most liberal city, those results should translate into a 7 to 8 on the Richter scale, because the three main factors that drove the recall are not unique to the Bay Area," Bloomberg writes.

Bloomberg notes that a "recent Democratic Party poll showed that voters perceive it as being too 'focused on the culture wars' - from renaming schools to defunding the police."

"But the advice that party leaders are giving members of Congress - to 'correct the record' when Republicans criticize them on schools and culture - isn't going to cut it," he added.

*** We need to start referring to the Democrats as “Socialist Democrats” ***

To indoctrinated Americans, that’s not a bad label.

An immediate course correction requires a dead reckoning.

“the process of calculating current position by using previously determined reference position and advancing that position”.

Wasn’t he a Republican mayor

Well, yeah....in a way.
The GOP sold its "R" brand to him and then embraced him like a prodigal son...even though he never left!

The UNI-PARTY at its finest.

Don’t forget the GOP circular firing squad that will undoubtedly form up at a critical time.

Yet, strangely, the Democrats don’t seem all that worried. I wonder why?

BS.

Those millions of illegals flooding across the border will be voting in November.

It’s why they are here.

I forget, but I think he was always a Democrap and only ran as a Repub. because his opponent was also a Democrap and of course the RINO party allowed this.

The opposition party always wins this election. The only shocker for me would be if Dim’s won.

This isn’t new. They didn’t have a coherent message in 2014. They were all running commercials in my area talking about senior citizens and federal day care, and I don’t live in a swing district. Instead of carpet bombing Obama, they were throwing marshmallows.

When it comes to the GOP, I share your cynicism.

No it will be a multiple of 30 , probably closer to a multiple of 3-4.

Generic ballot right now has a lead GOP has never seen before, this fall is going to make 1994 and 2008 look like nothing.

People vote with their pocket books… go find me a Joe Biden supporter right now… I can’t find a single person I know who a year ago was celebrating even willing to publicly defend their vote now.

NJ nearly flipped. VA clean swept… unless the political landscape drastically changes between now and November the GOP will run the floor ups and down the ballot in all but the bluest of districts.

Could something change in 9 months? Sure… will it? I highly doubt it

Sad thing about this kind of wipe out is that sadly some new RINOS will wind up in office replacing once pushed out… but that’s another issue

Now that I think of it and remember the circumstances, you’re right of course.

The prospect of having Mike Bloomberg’s personal wealth on their side, however temporarily, motivated empire state Republicans to roll the red carpet out to meet him. Bloomberg saw in the traditional Democrat/Republican divide no obstacle to his personal political ambitions. And who is to say that his vision was not 20/20? Bloomberg put the lie to the notion that there is a dime’s woth of difference between the two major parties in this country when the rubber really meets the road

No course correction can eliminate the rocks ice bergs that every where surround the progressives.

Kissing black Ass is no longer a viable course

The only thing the People hate worse than Democrats is - Republicans.

I took a lot of abuse around here for my D +40 prediction in November 2018. As it happened, I was exactly correct.

Trump exposed the fact that people wanted something different. He was elected by winning CDs that Obama had won twice.

But his belief that his win meant people wanted Republicans was, and is, sadly mistaken.

2022 House = GOP +11 2022 Senate = no change
