The prospect of having Mike Bloomberg’s personal wealth on their side, however temporarily, motivated empire state Republicans to roll the red carpet out to meet him. Bloomberg saw in the traditional Democrat/Republican divide no obstacle to his personal political ambitions. And who is to say that his vision was not 20/20?
