Galileo has struck back against the Global Warming Inquisition! In the person of his modern avatar, Valentina Sharkova. Her 2019 paper had seemingly put a stake through the heart of global warming, showing how her modern model of the sun explained all the known historical changes. She had a wonderful presentation on youtube which to those capable of following her explained all. But then her paper was mysteriously retracted. It turns out Global Warming cultists had criticized it for her claim that the distance between the sun and earth changed over time, above and beyond the obvious changes from its elliptical orbit. Although she was convinced there must be some motion there, after all movement of the solar system's center of mass within the sun, as driven by the orbiting massive planets, accounted for the variation she was describing in the solar dynamo. But she hadn't done her due diligence to prove the point. Meanwhile the Global Warming Cultists, who all strictly presumed with out any evidence that the sun didn't move relative to the earth and who didn't consider such possible motion in any of their models attacked her on that incomplete point and got her whole, lethal to them, paper retracted.

Well she has now looked at the best JPL models of solar system motion and proved things moved just as she'd presumed. And incorporated those actual motions into her model, making it even stronger. Sounds like she'll be resubmitting an improved version of her original model.

End result: Global warming is dead, at least for almost 500 years.
