Police break up remaining protest at Windsor's Ambassador Bridge

Officers lined the road near the border and told protesters to move as vehicles towed.

Officers from multiple police forces advanced Sunday morning to clear out the remaining protesters and break-up a days long occupation near the Ambassador Bridge border crossing in Windsor, Ontario.

"Time to leave", police said, as they formed a line and prepared to march forward along Huron Church Road, which leads to the international border crossing connecting Windsor with Detroit.

"If you don't leave, you will be arrested"

Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens told CBC's "Rosemary Barton Live" on Sunday that he heard "several" people were arrested...

From what I heard, the big rigs left quietly during the night, before they got arrested

what was left was mostly the supporters in their cars ... some hardcore ones resisted right to the end

they made their point, they got a LOT of attention worldwide, and there were no deaths, injuries, or destruction ... that's a successful protest

Since the Ambassador Bridge is private property, what right do poliece have to enter the bridge much less arrest any one there?

There were what appeared to be two platoons of police arrive on the scene. They moved forward and then stopped or moved back. I can’t tell where they are in relation to the bridge but seem to have ceased moving forward.
