Just because Brandon cannot remember Constitutional provisions from one day to the next doesn’t mean the Constitution is evolving.
That is correct, they believe a living document means you can change the meaning to fit whatever the politics of the time are. And just by regulatory fiat, executive order or law from Congress.
The true definition of a living document is one that can be altered according to the rules spelled out therein. We call these Constitutional Amendments. But for dems that’s too time consuming and messy. Two thirds of the states have to agree? We can’t have that hold up “progress”. Sarcasm.
No it’s not. If you want to change it there is an amendment process for that.

Right, it evolves every time it is amended and only when it is amended. And the amendments are in writing and very specific.

The constitution means what it says in the FULL context of those who wrote it and amended it. It’s call originalism, or original intent.
There is no such doctrine or implied jurist ‘wiggle-room’ built into the articles that suggests our founders wanted a malleable constitution that must adapt to social changes and attitudes... and that somehow federal jurists posses this mystical power they can impose at will! If any jurist cannot be impartial and believes he/she can mold the laws to their liking using their appointments and robes, needs to be impeached!
The constitution has NO such provisions outside of the amendment process that can lawfully change the meaning of ANY word, sentence, paragraph or syntax of our supreme law from its original intent! Nor are there jurist provisions that can strike, enhance or insert their personal interpretation in place of the authors intent! Jurists ARE NOT free to re-interpret our supreme law syntax; use alternate words and meanings, or charged with the ability to replace the language and meaning of the original law into a radically adulterated interpretation that is unrecognizable from its authors.
Our constitution isn’t a list of suggestions that can be interpreted by jurists to whatever they want it to mean!
The only way our constitution gets re-interpreted and changed outside of the amendment process, is by judicial fiat! Activist progressive and radical jurists inject their personal judgement into their opinions which is not neutrality, but deliberate in order to amend the constitution by judicial whole cloth! These un-elected subversive and agenda-driven constitutional wrecking balls do this deliberately. Knowing full well they are acting as legislators(law makers) and not as impartial jurists that apply the rule of law. These progressive thugs change the constitution under color of office using the cloak of their robes as cover to re-write the constitution and whatever laws that disagrees with their agenda.

The Constitution IS a “living document” in that the Founding Fathers recognized that it would probably need to be changed and thus gave us a way to change it.
However, with Amendments, it says what it says and should be followed.
