Netflix dashed hopes for a quick rebound after forecasting weak first-quarter subscriber growth on Thursday, sending shares sinking nearly 20 percent and wiping away most of its remaining pandemic-fueled gains from 2020, just a week after raising prices by up to $2 a month.
The streaming platform projected it would add 2.5 million customers for the first quarter of 2022 - January through March - less than half of the 5.9 million analysts had initially forecast.
Netflix tempered its growth expectations, citing the late arrival of anticipated content, such as the second season of Bridgerton, and the film The Adam Project.

Gee, the Harkles ain’t making it rain...?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The next Blockbuster?
We are long-gone from these creeps and their creepy child-exploiting programming.
Go woke, go broke.
Susan Rice sucks.
I had started using Netflix back when they mailed you the DVD, but their damned Leftist programming was what made me quit using them.
I hope the company rots and dies.
Content is king.
Netflix is, in essence, just another cable provider.
Something standing between you and content you want and charges you for siphoning it to you.
Note to production companies: You might want to think about selling your own content. Streaming services are just poorly disguised cable companies.
Glad we dropped Gay/Porno/Pedophileflix a couple of years ago.
Eff then and the Pelosishit they slid in on.
Didn’t the current Speaker of the House make quite a bit from their stock?
We dumped them in 2020. That’s what happens when you crap on the country.
Cowboy Bebop really, REALLY sucked.
Disney is having the same problem. Get woke go broke.
Word is the new CEO at Disney is not having it. He has laid down a new 3-pillar set of principles: storytelling, content deliver, and THE FAN BASE.
I hope he can do it and revive the destroyed Star Wars and Marvel universes. He should start by making SW Ep 7-9 non-canon.
The headline is a bit misleading
They haven’t actually lost subscribers - they’re just adding fewer new ones than they have before.
The most important stat: How bad’s their churn...
Bet it’s sky high.
> Cowboy Bebop really, REALLY sucked.
They have to put Sodom in everything. Everything. They can’t give it a rest.
This is precisely the way forward. Those who love liberty, the values our nation was founded on, must begin to pull business and support from whichever companies these marxist leeches are allowed to burrow into.
We must follow them, wherever they crawl. Shine the light into their dens of iniquity and punish those who give them safe harbor or a comfortable chair from which to conduct their business of tyranny. No rest for the wicked.
I hope Netflix stays afloat at least until I finish Ozark, season 3, (very creepy) Archive 81, and Stay Close.
Such shows only had to be good enough to be the "Least Objectionable Program".

Since viewers pay directly for streaming services, if the viewers don't feel it's worth it compared to every other option they have, including non-television activities, they're likely to drop it or never subscribe in the first place.
