Top secret JFK assassination files are FINALLY released: Lee Harvey Oswald was in contact with member of KGB two months before shooting and anonymous phone calls said Russia was behind it, trove of 1,500 documents reveal

More than 1,500 previously classified JFK assassination files have today been made public, including documents about killer Lee Harvey Oswald's contact with a KGB agent two months before the shooting.

The files were released at noon on Wednesday by the National Archives, after months of delays by Biden who had promised to make them public but then stalled, claiming COVID backlogs was the reason.

They include memos detailing anonymous phone calls to the US embassy in Canberra, Australia, a year before the shooting, where the caller said the Soviet Government was plotting to kill Kennedy, and details of Oswald's meeting with a KGB agent at the Soviet Embassy in Mexico City two months before the shooting.

Another call was placed on November 24, two days after the shooting, claiming the Russians were behind it.

Oswald's wife Marina, who was was Russian, is referenced throughout the files. One details how a Moroccan student contacted the CIA after the shooting and claimed he had been her boyfriend. The relevance of that to the investigation is not known.

In September 1963, Oswald met with Consul Valeriy Vladimirovich Kostikov, a KGB agent. The meeting has been referred to in previous documents but new details emerged today. It's unclear who initiated the meeting.

Specifically removed offensive missiles in Turkey. And thus, was really rolled in that part of the world. Though, must say that Che’ wanted to fire the Soviet nukes at the US— only 9o miles to FL. And the Soviets never forgot that, nor did Fidel.

It was Fidel who fingered Che’ to the Bolivian federales (with see eye ehhh intermediary btw), because in truth there could only be one Fidel. So hilarious the Soviet era jeep broke down carrying Fidel’s body for burial... next to Che”. The sheer irony of both events a backlog on failed Communism/ Socialism.

I’m very old. ALL of our fathers boasted about being rum runners during prohibition. My dad came from nothing, had a third-grade education, worked hard and was smart. I grew up in suburb of Chicago where Kettering family lived, founders of General Motors. Granddaughter was one of my friends.

YOU should really live through Prohibition. Tell us how very superior you are.

Forgive me, I was momentarily thinking of the British model. The Clay model was not really an "out there" hardcore Socialist economic method at a time when it made sense to employ every reasonable method to grow the country. I probably would've supported it at the time - to an extent. This is why it's difficult to compare economic methods of that era to ours today. I'm not a strictly "free market" person, anyway. That method, as we saw, did nothing in the past decades but to send jobs and industries out of the country.

I too have came to realize that there are flaws with the laissez faire economic model of capitalism. Not only does it seek the most profits at the expense of it's countrymen, it also seeks to create rent seeking monopolies.

That's why I have no qualms about confiscatory-level taxation on rich leftists. They want Communism ? They pay for it. 100% taxation on all assets acquired above, say, the national income average. I'm not joking, either.

I have said similar things many times. I keep telling people we need to apply the rules of socialism to those who support socialism.

I think we need wealthy people, but as you have said, at some point such wealth becomes ridiculous, though giving it to the government is not a worthwhile purpose for it either.

Government can turn wealth into evil very often.

Sounds like you have researched this a lot more than I. I bow to your superior knowledge on this subject.

Look up the Soviet plane crash that killed 16 Pacific fleet Admirals of the Soviet navy. It is typical Russian thinking during the soviet era, right down to the terrible design of the aircraft, the effort to find a scapegoat, and the subsequent coverup.

And I have been watching Chernobyl. It's pretty good, and it makes perfect sense in light of what I know of Soviet history.

Didn't know that about Che, but it makes sense given what I know about Castro.

I do have to give Castro credit for making fools of American Presidents for half a century. He was a master troll.

The covid delay was to only release the Russian involvement and cache the cia fbi involvement.

Next time you want me to share information with you, I will do so with one caveat—you have to wait more than fifty years for my response—giving me fifty plus years to clean up the files!

I think the Kennedy's would have been engaged in criminal activity with or without prohibition.

I am a bona fide “conspiracy hound”.

What made me that way was when I realized that every Intelligence Agency in the world compartmentalized information to keep secrets—actually conspiracies.

They think it is doable—and I believe them.

Yeah, that’s why nobody ever heard of Operation Ajax, Operation Phoenix, Operation Mockingbird, Project MK Ultra, Project Azorian, Angelfire, Expresslane,….

Here is a conspiracy that was never exposed while any of the participants were alive:

Thousands of folks knew about it—and there were no whistleblowers.

This is particularly interesting since it was legal at the time.

Nonetheless, everyone kept silent.

That shows nothing, except that conspiracies always get outed eventually. So why haven’t we had any proof of conspiracy since 1963?

It all depends what you call “proof”.

Do deathbed confessions count as “proof”?

Malcolm X was brutal in his assessment of JFK’s assassination as being the case of the chickens coming home to roost. Remarkable how many wanted him dead.
