It’s been my tagline for many years. Heartfelt.
They’re some pretty special people.

Hiya radu!

Whoa, we had a nice 70 degree sunny day here today so I finished mowing all the leaves up at Robin's and then played with the pups.

I have two kids and Christmas shopping will be 2 gift cards I can buy online so I'm good, LOL.

Howz things with you?

Truthfully, other than some shopping and a few additions to my outdoor lights everything settles down after Monday...St. Nicholas Day, midpoint of the Nativity Fast.

Which is how it ought to be...more introspective, pondering the unfathomable.

“I behold a strange and wonderful mystery:
the cave a heaven,
the Virgin a cherubic throne,
and the manger a noble place in which hath laid Christ the uncontained God.
Let us, therefore, praise and magnify Him.”

Good evening, lightman, and thank goodness hump day is over! What a week so far.

Just got a call from my 94 year old aunt in southern California. Lots of questions from her to get caught up on my side of the family. She’s still driving back and forth from Paso Robles to San Diego to visit a bunch of her grand and great grandkids.

Are you still without snow? We were supposed to have “a little”, but so far at least 7”.

We had a couple of “Alberta clippers” which barely left a “track a cat” layer on the colder surfaces.

My buds in the weather forecasting business (I feed them data and they feed me not-ready-for-public-consumption forecasts) tell me that I’m due for above average temperatures and average to subaverage precip through at last mid-December. Possibly no long-lasting cold and/or real snow until the new year.

But “the beast” has been readied for business and the outdoor woodpile has not been touched...yet.

Hey there, radu!

Yes, it was very nice here but hotter than I’d wish. It got up to about 80 this afternoon. I never know what to wear anymore. It’s chilly in the mornings and almost summer-like in the afternoons. LOL!

I’m glad you’re enjoying some nice weather! That plus harvest time being over must make going outdoors very nice indeed!

So you’re enjoying some nice springtime temps, too, are you? Same here and I’m lovin’ it. LOL Unfortunately it only lasts through the weekend, then December temps move in.

Your Christmas shopping is a snap! LOL

Not much going on here these days. I’m missing the weekends at the museum already and winter close-down just started. They do make arrangements for group tours, though, and I hope I’ll get asked to help out once in a while if they have a large group.

Aaaaaaah, I thought there might be more going on as Christmas approaches, special services and such.

Ouch! That’s a bit too warm for December.
We had mid 60s today and have 70 forecast for the high tomorrow and Friday. 60s again this weekend, then December moves in. At least we have heat again - YAY - and are ready for that. LOL

Yes, harvest is OVER. Just have the fallen leaves with their dust and mold making me sneeze sometimes when I’m outside but it’s not nearly as bad as it was when harvesting was going on.

Good evening, radu...7” of snow so far. Shoveling the deck every few hours, just to keep it easy. Light and fluffy snow and it continues.

Are you still cold, or is a warming trend finding you?

I’m not surprised at that amount. It was snowing hard for quite a bit of the day. At least it’s light and fluffy and isn’t as much of a pain to shovel.

It was pretty nice here with the high in the mid 60s. The next couple of days will be even warmer and we look forward to that! We don’t mind a tiny taste of spring this time of year. LOL

The repairmen made it out here this morning and found the problem with the central unit. The supplier had conked out and he replaced it. We’re good to go now. Whew!
