Kyle Rittenhouse said he is destroying the rifle he used to shoot three protestors in Kenosha, Wis., last year during an appearance on the conservative podcast program, "The Charlie Kirk Show" on Tuesday.
Speaking as a guest on the program, Rittenhouse said, "We're having [the rifle] destroyed right now. We don't want anything to do with that," while discussing how the lead prosecutor in his case, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger, brought the AR-15-style weapon into court.
Rittenhouse expressed that he was shocked when Binger pointed Rittenhouse's rifle "at the gallery."

As for letting go of the past, they never will.
It’s of no concern about them it’s about him letting go of the past and move ahead many do and win.
This is a really engaging interview!
Well done Charlie and Kyle and even Jack Posobiec!
Doesn’t understand indeed his headache self induced problem.
I truly believe he has PTSD......the dog is there to help him.
He shouldn't listen to his shoe..... in the viedo it made him trip & started the mess he was in./s
Don't apologize it takes away from the "NOT GUILTY" verdict.
Guns don’t kill people, people! Sheesh.
We should have destroyed ALL M1 Garands after WWII!
Stupid logic.
I hear you. I’m glad this didn’t happen, otherwise I wouldn’t have inherited grandpa’s M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, and his awesome .45
(personally my fav)
By the way 2 out of 3 of them killed Germans in ww2. He didn’t have a problem with it.
The Entire situation has to
Have eternal memories.
Material items don’t last.
That’s a neat Slice of History, all You need is
a Thompson!
.
I’d skip the Tank.
I don’t believe that Kyle supports the agenda of BLM - quite sure he was saying he supported their right to peacefully protest. I listened to it and that’s what I concluded - he said he supported BLM, but it was only a segue to him saying he supported anyone being able to peacefully protest. I think he’s been maligned needlessly for this.
As for the gun....he may get $25,000.00 for it, but that’s chump change compared to what he’s going to get in the next couple of years.
I could buy into that, if that is in fact the motivation.
I would certainly check it over as well, however I’m guessing maybe he had a magazine feeding issue.
And that’s the way it should be. Admire his service.
However, at the time I don’t believe it was his gun. Wasn’t it lent to him for the occasion? He would bear no liability for the mods, if any.
# He’s probably pretty traumatized by the event. Killing someone, even justified, affects the soul deeply. It makes sense he would want that instrument no longer in existence.
I think that was pretty obvious from his testimony.
Personally, I think destroying it is a bad idea, but it’s his property to do with as he will.
Kid is turning out to be a weasel...
You are not in his shoes. He’s barely an adult and has gone through hell. He’s getting advice and trying to make decisions that will lead to a normal life, something that he may never achieve given the target on his back.
Hope you are right.
Smart, he’ll have enough $$$ to replace it with whatever he wants.
