Gun Boom: FBI Ran 187,585 Background Checks on Black Friday Alone
Breitbart ^ | 29 Nov 2021 | AWR HAWKINS

Posted on 11/29/2021 7:23:01 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

The FBI conducted 187,585 National Instant Criminal Background System (NICS) checks on gun sales and transfers on Black Friday 2021 alone.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reports the Black Friday 2021 NICS checks surpassed those of 2020, which came in at 186,645.

Moreover, NSSF noted that the FBI performed a total of 687,788 NICS checks during the entire week, including those on Black Friday.

NSSF president Joe Bartozzi commented on the tremendous number of background checks conducted last week:

This figure of over 687,000 background checks is truly remarkable. This year has already been shaping up to be the second strongest year for firearm sales on record, second only to 2020’s record-breaking number of 21 million background checks for a firearm sale. We anticipate, based on annual data, that firearm sales will rise during the final month of the year coinciding with hunting seasons and holiday sales. This figure, though, underscores the appetite for lawful firearm ownership in America and the resilience of the firearm and ammunition industry to meet that demand.

Background checks have been relatively high during 2021, with the number of NICS checks in October proving the be the second-highest number of checks ever for the month of October.

Breitbart News noted similar data for September 2021, which came in with the second-most NICS checks of any September in history.

There were 2,626,389 NICS checks conducted in September, second only to the 2,892,115 conducted in September 2020.

August 2021 and July 2021 both witnessed the second-highest number of NICS checks for their respective months as well.

Sellier and Bellot and PPU are both good ammo, too.

If you can afford a case. I stocked up years ago and will continue to do so when prices go back down.

I only do ARs - with the right jig it’s about a 2.5. Follow the directions and be patient. Have both drill press & router jigs but only use the latter. Great way to spend an afternoon.

I gaze longingly upon the polymer 80 frame kits. I’m not that mechanically minded though. But I can follow simple instructions and have a drill press.

A block of aluminum should be more durable, but perhaps harder to drill out.

Thanks. It seems like fun. I don’t really have a use for another firearm and my funds seems to be a little low lately (since about January with Bidenflation and all). But if things improve, I might give it a try.

No more rounds than I put through one, I'm sure the polymer would be just fine.

Aluminum is no match for tool steel.

Not entirely true. Red Army Standard and a few others source their ammo from countries other than Russia. It is coming from other former Warsaw pact countries like Poland, Ukraine and Serbia .

It is a Travesty to find a firearm You would buy
and Not see the Ammo to
feed It.
I bought a 5 pack of Slugs
for a 20 gauge and I’m embarrassed at the price I
Paid.
Then Again it could get Worse with all that’s going
Down.
.
Prices May never get better

Considering each new firearm purchaser will buy two boxes of ammunition for their new firearm (assuming 50 rounds per box), That is almost 2 million rounds of ammunition bought ( or needed to be bought) on Black Friday.

No wonder ammunition manufacturers cannot keep up with demand !

Ammo manufacturers are running production 7 days a week and 24 hours per day yet one ammo CEO says they are dealing with an 18-month back-order problem.

The CEO moans about the growing quantity of his hate mail (from those demanding ammo). He also talks about angry people showing up at his factories demanding ammo.

The DemonRats have been pushing gun control for decades.
This is how it has been working out for them.

And in the last two months... (Nov. 2012 and Dec. 2012)

And it continues...

And there is more...

And more...

And yet more...

And more and more and...

We just keep buyin' more...

And we bought more more more...

And more and more and more...

Could it be? More?

More Americans buy more guns...

We just love guns...

Buy a gun, you'll be in Hogg Heaven!

Another month, another record!

Will the record breaking ever stop?

Looks like it will never stop.

It will never stop. :)

Gun sales records AGAIN!

Did somebody say "Boom?"

KEEP FLAPPIN' YOUR LIPS, DEMONRATS! WE'LL BUY MILLIONS MORE. ;-)

“That amounts to arming more soldiers than each of 147 countries - in one day.“

The number of armed legal American citizens is growing rapidly and I don’t think that many are being bought for sport. If things keep going the way they have been there will eventually be a flashpoint where these armed patriots will finally decide enough is enough and begin the bloody process of retaking the country. That may be tomorrow, next month, or who knows wen but I don’t think it will be much longer. If dems try and stop the red wave next year by another lock down over fear of another Covid strain fraud it may happen then.

Not so fast. Long time collector here.

The surge can be directly attributed to stupid liberals realizing the utopias they created are, in fact, dangerous.

But since they are stupid/liberals, they can't make the connection with anarchy and their democrat policies.

The only up side to this is that it's giving gun manufacturers greater profitability, and that's good. Remington Arms has ramped up their ammo plant and that's been going 24/7. Not bad for a company that declared bankruptcy not long ago.
