Rust script supervisor Mamie Mitchell, the first person to call 911 after Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot by Alec Baldwin on the film's set last month, is filing a lawsuit against Alec Baldwin and other producer with high powered lawyer Gloria Allred as her attorney.

'Alec Baldwin intentionally, without just cause or excuse, cocked and fired the loaded gun even though the upcoming scene to be filmed did not call for the cocking and firing of the firearm,' Allred said. 'Mr. Baldwin chose to play Russian Roulette with a loaded gun without checking it and without having the armorer do so.'

'Mr. Baldwin cannot hide behind the Assistant Director to attempt to excuse the fact that he did not check the gun himself,' continues the complaint from Mitchell, who was in the church location on the Bonanza Creek Ranch when Baldwin's 'quick draw' rehearsal turned tragic.

The attorney added that Baldwin should have assumed the gun was loaded until it was checked that it was not loaded.

OK, but what harm was done to the script supervisor that he has cause to sue? Just to make sure to throw liability off him/herself? One of those “emotional anguish” cases? Or has he lost work because of this incident?

He was playing around when he shot them. This was not a scene.

IOW, his actions were not part of the movie, but part of “messing around”. If I was “messing around” with a real gun and pointed it at someone and pulled the trigger, and shot them dead, well, I’d be arrested and tried for, at the very least, involuntary manslaughter.

But that’s just my opinion.

There was nothing in the script about the gun being discharged by DEFENDANT BALDWIN or by any other person.”

Baldwin’s 30 year history of public punch-ups, vulgarity, anger outbursts and public family spats seems to indicate a real “cluster B” personality disorder - narcissism, histrionic personality disorder, grandiosity, etc...

Even if the Colt had blanks in the cylinder, ya still wouldn’t want to cock/aim/fire the weapon at a human. Blanks can cause serious injury or death as well as live ammo.
