Charles Franklin “Peepaw” Beaverson passed away on Nov. 2, Election Day, at the age of 74.

He had worked at Campbell Chain/Apex Tools for 45 years until his retirement. He belonged to the Kreutz Creek VFW and enjoyed attending the monthly cruise nights held by the Motor Menders Rod and Custom Car Club at the Markets at Shrewsbury. He had two daughters, two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

At the end of his obituary, after his family suggests memorial contributions to Great Rewards Ministries in Red Lion, was this:

“#Letsgobrandon.”

To those who haven’t been paying attention — or as one veteran Republican ad maker told the Associated Press, have been “living in a cave” — it might seem cryptic. Who is Brandon? And where is he going?

Those in on it know what it means. “Let’s Go Brandon” has become conservative code, a kind of not-so-secret handshake, for another three-word phrase: “F--- Joe Biden.” How it got into his obituary is not clear. His family declined to discuss it.

I can just see their family genealogists 200 years from now finding gr-gr-gr-gr-grandpa’s obituary and discovering “#Letsgobrandon.” That will be a head-scratcher, for sure.

It's hilarious to see the left turning into Miss Grundy, suddenly wringing their hands over rough language. These are the same people who applauded when Alec Baldwin (or was it De Niro?) used an anti-Trump f-bomb on national TV, and many leftist celebrity posts on social media posts do the same on a routine basis.

Someone might say, "Well, conservatives objected when the left did it, so why are they doing it now?" I can only say that I'm not a big fan of the eff word, but it is the left that vulgarized popular culture, and when the doors are already broken down, some will follow in.

I too am not a big fan of public vulgarity (though I'm a big fan of armed robbers meeting their maker at the hands of an armed homeowner....go figya).

This is why LGB is so wonderful - it annoys the left, they can't suppress the chant of vulgarity grounds, and it's a constant reminder that they've been revealed as the double-standard bearers and MSM shills that they are. Even kids understand it.
