It’s amazing how some people act as if you should wait to see how much harm your attacker plans to inflict before you fight back. That’s how it was in Zimmerman (he was just banging your head on the concrete, you don’t really know that he was trying to kill you).

It was a retarded argument. Just because a guy with a gun doesn’t point it at you until he is a foot away doesn’t make him less a threat! He pointed the pistol at Kyle’s head!
The ADA seems to think Kyle should have waited until he was killed before he had a right to defend himself.

There was supposed to be one more witness today. But, it looks like they may adjourn until Monday.
If this DA were in the same situation he would have crapped his pants, followed by either his own instant death or blind panic followed by him spraying everyone on that street, guilty and innocent alike, with bullets. The calm and restraint that Kyle showed that night was almost superhuman. It was truly astounding to watch. He did everything exactly right. This is a really great kid, and I think his testimony today really reinforced that.
Rittenhouse is very intelligent, especially as young people of that age go these days. He’s also far more in possession of himself and his wits than the stupid DA is.
If I were the judge in this case, I’d feel that the prosecution was insulting my own intelligence.

The DA’s line of questioning here ignored one simple reality—that when Kyle was in that situation, responding to two direct and likely life threatening attacks in the last minute, his adrenalin indubitably had gone sky high and he must have been in full “flight or fright” mode — reacting purely by instinct and self-preservation rather than intellect/cool and calm thought. Expecting him to render aid to his attackers at that point — rather than returning to his “plan A” of getting to safety with the local cops (who were down the block) — is absurd.
I hope after this is done and Kyleis a free young man,, that Donald Trump calls him up and offers him a job in security at Mara Lago,
I taught my kids the same, only expanded to anyone with authority over them, teachers, coaches, principals.
If crap happens, say nothing to no one until your parents or legal representation arrives. They are not your friends and they don’t want to help you, they want someone to blame.
Looks like they are going to dismiss the jury for the day and may work on housekeeping. Maybe work on jury instructions (where they direct the jury as to the law to be applied etc).
