Republicans took a victory lap Wednesday following Republican Glenn Youngkin’s stunning win in the Virginia governor’s race, with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) predicting his party could flip more than 60 House seats in next year’s midterm elections.
“If you're a Democrat and President Biden won your seat by 16 points, you're in a competitive race next year. You are no longer safe,” McCarthy told reporters while flanked by his leadership team and Virginia Republicans.
“It'll be more than 70 [Democratic seats] that will be competitive. There's many that are going to lose their races based upon walking off a cliff from [Speaker] Nancy Pelosi [D-Calif.] pushing them,” he continued. “She may not care if she lose. She lost 63 the last time she was Speaker moving policy that the country didn't care for.

McA’s loss goes to Biden and his “kill the economy” policies. I hope the whole climate package in the “social infrastructure bill” gets shot down. It doesn’t belong in there. And bottom line....that’s the only thing that Biden wants to get through.
It would be fun to see Biden / Harris facing a ‘Pubbie Congress.
With a little guts, they might even take away his phone and his pen.

Push for election reform at state level for every state. Any decent person wants to believe we have honest elections. Make it a sure thing. It’s not hard. Purple ink, etc. That should be one of the major campaign issues. Our party should promote the integrity of the voting booth. Does the other party?
Better economics and less government control of daily life are good issues too. But this is the time to strike on honest elections. And if we get that, then we’re in good shape for years to come.

Correct. The Not Democrat Party won in VA. The Chamber of Chinese commerce fueled GOP have never had any interest in defending our American Heritage or preventing the rape of our children in school bathrooms. We mustn’t be fooled into thinking they will be start caring to do that now.
I have pondered filing against Silvia Garcia in Houston. I do not have the money to really run a campaign, but she should not run unopposed.
