Trump: Youngkin 'would have lost by 15 points without MAGA'

Former President Trump says if he had not supported Virginia Republican Glenn Youngkin, the new governor-elect would have lost by a sizable margin in Tuesday's election.

"I've heard Virginia is blue, but I've never believed it was blue," Trump said during an interview on local radio in Virginia on Wednesday morning, according to Politico reporter Meridith McGraw. "Without MAGA he would have lost by 15 points, more ... instead of giving us credit they say, 'oh he's more popular than [Trump].'"

Youngkin defeated former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) in Virginia's gubernatorial election, thanks largely to a boom in support from suburban voters and higher margins of victory in rural areas that Trump won during the 2020 presidential contest despite losing the state as a whole by 10 points.

President Trump - stay in your lane. Stop making it all about you.

Heh, good luck with that one. “This was a great win. Maybe the best win ever. Nobody's ever seen a win like this.”

-Channeling Trump :D

There’s no denying...MAGA policies ARE what Younkin won on with the help of Biden’s sh** a** policies to date.

Yes indeed. Plenty of shared credit to go around. It's nice to see it all coming together with good partners. Romney, Murkowski, et al all need to get on the America First MAGA bus.

Shut up, Donald. Don’t swerve out of your lane to poison a victory.

Trump has a number of beautiful properties in VA that employ a great number of people. His rallies in VA attracted large diverse crowds from VA and surrounding states in 2016.VA politicans were at the rallies and knew they were in trouble. The 2020 steal in VA started then.

I never trust the media’s “what Trump really said” spin. But if true then yes. Trump should have definitely kept it about Youngkin.

But the one thing Trump does that nobody else can is galvanize people.

While I would support Trump 100% if he ran again, I think it would be best if he passed on the torch so the movement doesn’t die with him. That’s why as of now, I would like it to be DeSantis in 2024. Assuming he gets re-elected, with everything the Democrats and the media will throw against him. I just don’t see how then he wouldn’t win in 2024.

He didn’t have one. Fortunately the RATs underestimated the fake ballots they would need.

Concur. MAGA is really the updated version of the Tea Party. Trump is hugely instrumental, but like the Tea Party, MAGA is more like a movement than anything.

If you look at the electoral map, Virginia is a red state turned blue by the heavily populated DC suburbs CHEATING in the northeast part of the state.

There I fixed it for you. Biden outperformed both Hillary and Obama by 500,000 votes (way outside the dem growth margin). These 500,000 extra vote dumps came in the early morning right after the election.

Trump won VA and this election proves it. By stopping the steal the Dems way underperformed this election. Youngkin had better percentages because the election could not be stolen thanks to poll watchers and lawyers working full-time and during early voting.

A crap load of Poll Watchers…….like never before.

Something the MIchigan GOP could learn from, especially in Wayne and a few other counties.

"I wonder what Youngkin’s anti-vote fraud strategy was?

That would be Steve Bannon’s local precinct strategy.

An army of conspiracy-minded Trump supporters are moving to influence and run the Republican Party at a local level, galvanized — at least initially — by none other than former Trump adviser and far-right nationalist Stephen Bannon, ProPublica reports.

In February 2021, Bannon told his podcast listeners of the “precinct strategy,” in which Trump voters could take control of the GOP by flooding “into the lowest rung of the party structure: the precincts,” ProPublica writes. Precinct officers are typically in charge of routine, administrative tasks, but collectively, “can influence how elections are run.” In some states, they even have a say in the selection of poll workers and election board members.

“We're going to take this back village by village ... precinct by precinct,” said Bannon to his listeners.

Since then, according to ProPublica analysis, GOP leaders in 41 out of 65 key counties have reported “an unusual increase” in precinct officer sign-ups, amounting to at least 8,500 new, low-level Republican officials. There was no equivalent surge found when analyzing Democratic positions.

It also did not hurt Youngkin that a majority of poll workers are women and even Karens were raging after realizing that under communist rule their children belong to the government and not them.

Glenn Youngkin tapped into the wellspring that is feeding the Trump revolution, without ever saying much about Trump.

Actually Twitter may have given Donald Trump even MORE voice in how elections go, by silencing him, rather than to allow all the “mean tweets” to go out. People who could not STAND Trump personally (because of the “mean tweets”) look back longingly and with remorse, because whoever is now in charge of White Hut decisions, is not acting on behalf of America.

That fed into a large part of the showing in New Jersey as well, not so much FOR the Republican candidate, but AGAINST the Joe Stolen/”Que mala” Harris regime.

But Democrats being Democrats, they will probably now double down on all the bad bets they are making. The Democrat Socialists won’t allow the rest of the party any latitude whatsoever.
