But the one thing Trump does that nobody else can is galvanize people.
While I would support Trump 100% if he ran again, I think it would be best if he passed on the torch so the movement doesn’t die with him. That’s why as of now, I would like it to be DeSantis in 2024. Assuming he gets re-elected, with everything the Democrats and the media will throw against him. I just don’t see how then he wouldn’t win in 2024.
I think it would be best if he passed on the torch so the movement doesn’t die with him.
Who would Trump pass the torch too in the GOP? Nobody will address in a Trumpian manner the elephant in the room: the fundamentally corrupt nature of all of our institutions.
DeSantis may be a mostly good governor (I’m not sure about this new Seminole sports betting monopoly) but he has shown exactly zero interest in engaging corrupt Republicans and removing their influence from the party. Most of all we need an opposition party to the progressive-corportist alliance and I’m not convinced DeSantis is the person to lead on that. He’s got a lot of mainline GOP on his resume and that is cause for concern.

Couldn’t have said it better.
