Freak Out as Conservatives Exit Public Schools, Abandon Reform

The totalitarian-minded education establishment and its extreme left-wing allies are starting to freak out as conservatives abandon futile efforts to “reform” government schools in favor of a mass-exodus strategy. Even powerful union bosses are starting to panic.

The trend has been building quietly for years. But it has accelerated rapidly in recent months as a trickle of families fleeing the system became a tidal wave amid face-mask edicts, vaccine mandates, Critical Race Theory, Marxist indoctrination, extreme “sex education,” and other controversies.

The first major shoe to drop in response came on September 30, when the fringe left-wing magazine New Republic released a major article claiming Republicans were now out to destroy the public-school system instead of “reform” it.

“Republicans Don’t Want to Reform Public Education. They Want to End It,” blared the headline in the far-left magazine, famous for lying about and even praising the mass-murdering Soviet dictatorship. “Florida’s recent struggles over masks in schools augur a terrifying shift in the right’s approach to education policy.”

According to the article, conservatives are increasingly abandoning the idea of “reforming” public schools. Instead, the article argues, the new approach is to get as many children as possible out of the system and into private schools or homeschooling.

Great. Should have happened years ago.

Parents that even remotely love their children have a sacred duty to them, and that mean immediately remove them from the public school system.

My brother teaches in what’s known as the best district in his large state. Newsflash: His kids were homeschooled.

There is no place where you can’t take your kid out of public school.

Form a school with other conservative parents, then hire tutors and also teach them yourselves. Of course no cheerleaders or football.

:: property taxes can and will be raised to cover the shortfall, but that won’t be enough for long, and teachers will have to go. ::

Exposing that property taxes are based on the number of teachers served, NOT the number of students served.
That is they are panicked.

Funny thing how the tax laws are written so that college tuition is deductible, but OTH primary and secondary HS education at private school is not tax deductible.....

This is pure, delusional fantasy. The education establishment and the teachers unions aren't freaking out or panicking because parents willing to oppose them are running away. They're celebrating. They still get public funding, they don't need to deal with as many questions or as much resistance from concerned parents, and they still continue to indoctrinate the vast majority of children in America - children who will grow up to overwhelmingly outnumber privately-schooled adults.

The left-wing rot that's set into American culture and society is a direct result of the fact that the left-wing has been allowed to take over the public schools without any real resistance. Those who can afford private schools and have no stomach for fighting back can go that route, but let's not kid ourselves - our kids will grow up to live in an American filled with people who went through left-wing indoctrination camps from K-12.

So we just turn over Public Schools, where the vast majority of people will still go, over to left, ensuring this majority is indoctrinated, instead of standing and fighting?

This has to change:
Is private school tuition tax deductible?

By: Gallagher Flinn | Updated: Feb 3, 2021

Federal tax credits and deductions won't help ease the cost of private school.

There might be a lot of benefits to sending your child to private school, but when you write that hefty tuition check every year, you could find yourself wondering whether those payments are tax deductible.

Unfortunately, when it comes to your U.S. federal taxes, the short answer is no. If your child attends a K-12 private school, there is no federal tax deduction or credit you qualify for that will help pay for tuition — not even school uniforms. However, once your child graduates and attends a college you're paying for, you'll start qualifying for certain education deductions. Until then, there's not much in the way of tax relief to ease your costs.

The same thing will eventually fix churches.
Leave and tell them why you are leaving.
In both cases, its all about $$$ and seeing the $$$ leave will eventually throw them into total panic.

LOL. You can't turn it over to the left because they already own it!

I guess you aren't a parent. Educating your child and protecting them is job one. Let someone else experiment with their child...

Many reports of parents pulling their children from public school...

But, I wonder what the actual numbers are?

When the tax funds follow the student instead of the "public school rooms" then, and only then, will the teachers union get the message.

When they are punished in the wallet, they will reform themselves.

That is the only thing people in a union respond to, their own money.

The kids education is secondary for most {not all} teachers.

While I understand the desire to fight for conservative principles in the public schools, I’m not willing to use my daughters as foot soldiers in the fight.

Why would anyone, any thinking or concerned parent allow their children to be sent to public schools? In public schools now you can reasonably expect:

Your children will be exposed to sexual perversions at a very young age.

Your children will be taught that it is ok to lie and keep things from you.

Your children will be encouraged to make decisions about their sexuality long before they have any concept of what that really is, long before they have completely developed physically and hormonally, long before they have any basis of experience.

Your children will be taught revisionist history. Not because it is accurate or correctly portrays events and motivations in the past, but because it fits and supports a modern day political agenda.

Your children will be taught that competition and strife are bad, that go-along and get-along are always to be preferred. Be a good little drone and do as you're told and everyone gets a trophy.

Your children will be taught that patriotism and nationalism are universally bad things. That these are out-dated concepts. That we should all get along, no borders, no worries.

Your children will be taught that capitalism and free market competition, in spite of having created the most successful, prosperous, and advanced societies in history - is bad. That socialism and socialistic ideals are somehow morally "better" and are preferred - in spite of a track record of 100% failure to ever create a happy prosperous society.

Your children will be taught that using math like percentages as above is racist. No, I don't have any idea how they connect those dots, but that is what they will be taught: math and science, real math and science are racist.

Your children will be taught that it is ok, laudable in fact, to use violence and fascist tactics to advance your agenda - as long as that agenda is the left's agenda. Any resistance to the left's agenda, even just speaking out at a school board meeting opposing them, is "terrorism" and must be investigated and stopped.

Your children will be taught that segregation is bad - when white people did it. Segregation is good when white leftists promote it and minorities are convinced to do it to themselvees.

Your children will be taught that they are racist. Does not matter if they actually are or are not. A certain level of guilt will be instilled in them regardless. If your child happens to be a minority they will be taught that they are inferior to whites, and that all their problems are because straight white Christian males have not made enough accommodations for them.

Your children will be taught to "follow the science" but only if it has been properly manipulated through a political lens to support such nonsense as climate change and 57 genders. They will not be allowed to question such "settled science" - thus moving it from the realm of science into dogma.

Your daughters may be sexually assaulted in the ridiculous gender-fluid bathrooms, but hey, at least we got plastic straws out of the lunchroom.

We could all go on and on with more specific examples of the sheer insanity that public "education" has become. I personally know two people retired from it. They both say this is no longer education, the inmates are running the asylum and this is indoctrination. Thank {Deity} my kids are old enough to be out of the public education cesspool. They survived with reason, logic, and morals intact.

“”The one that gets me is the plea for all the teachers buying materials for their class rooms.””

Heard that one many times, didn’t believe it then and don’t believe it now. My be a rare case case where that happen but I’ll call BS on most.

Parents whose kids have escaped the public schools shouldn’t abandon public school kids to the enemy they will become if we don’t fight for them.

Exactly. Even if my kids are home schooled, I’m still paying thousands in property taxes to fund those public schools.
