My daughters go to a private Christian school that has sports teams and a marching band.
Many students have received athletic scholarships because they were on the teams, and my eldest has a music scholarship because she was in band.

Not if the system is so totally broken, we make a new system for our children. The left will continue to do as they do, be stupid and lazy. They will not defend us when push comes to shove, so I really don’t feel sorry for them. Parents today, for the most part, are lazy, self centered POS. Just my opinion but I have heard it over and over and over from family and friends who ARE teachers and have to deal with it every day. Parents do not care. One student my daughter in law taught, the mom and then the aunt left the kid at the school. Told them to not send the child home, no one would be there. When the police got involved the mom basically said where do I sign to get rid of the kid...... So sad and they wonder why the child acts up. Most likely mom was high when she was out screwing around as this was one of nine..... siblings. AND we are paying for it.
I have no doubt the lefties are fervently working to restore those restrictions.
If everyone stopped paying their property taxes it would send a message. bTW, has property every been challenged in courts? To me, it would seem unconstitutional because you must pay the government in order to simply live in an area. Sounds racist and unequal to me. Also, it voids true property ownership because your land can be confiscated if demands are not met. Property taxes are a pet peeve of mine and the only reason we’d move from our Eastern PA home. It’s simply impossible to retire with a $10,000 tax bill every year.
Both my kids went to private schools and that was back in the eighties and nineties. Both graduated from a major university. Both are doing well in their late thirties/early forties. Had they stayed in Public Schools, I have no doubt there would have been a different and unpleasant result.
Meanwhile, all that time, I paid “School Taxes” which in Texas are the largest taxes among about 4-6 (different types of taxes) paid by property tax. Ultimately, Texas will go to vouchers which could end Public Schools as we know them.
