The FBI agent credited with thwarting the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been fired from the agency after domestic violence allegations were levied against him.
According to The Detroit News, Special Agent Richard Trask was fired last week while awaiting trial on charges of assault with intent to do bodily harm and allegations that he beat his wife’s head against a nightstand following an argument caused by a swingers party they attended.
The firing of the law enforcement officer comes amid questions concerning potential misconduct by the FBI during the kidnapping investigation, and whether as many as 12 informants were driving the alleged conspiracy.
Trask was dropped as a witness for the FBI following comments he made on social media calling former President Donald Trump a “douchebag” and a “piece of s---.”
The arrest and subsequent firing come as defense lawyers representing the accused attempted kidnappers began planning their legal strategy, which includes attacking the credibility of the FBI agents involved in the case. The defense team also plans on alleging the FBI informants, including Trask, entrapped the defendants.
The trial will not be conducted until December at the earliest, and the defense team may still attempt to call Trask as a witness despite the FBI dismissing him for the prosecution.
“....beat his wife’s head against a nightstand following an argument caused by a swingers party they attended.”
FIB must have been investigating the pineapple crowd.
led vs. lead...
it is a pet peeve of mind.
. . . Why?
Nice to see how fine and upstanding our FBI is.
I’m always suspect when a fbi agent gets fired.
Especially considering all the crazy stuff they do.
False flag events and dramatic arrest of perceived political enemies and the like.
Not very open minded of them. Most arguments have at their root, a fundamental disagreement over who is right and who is wrong about something. I would think those that attend a swinger's party have pretty much sworn off any objective measure of right or wrong.
Yep,many of them are scum
..so why pick on this guy?
So, Biden-Harris-Garland-Plosive-Schumer-Obama’s FBI promotes and retains the guy who ran apolitically-needed sting operation against self-called “white supremacists” who supposedly were going to kidnap a democrat woman governor in an election year with more agents provocateurs and informants than conspirators ....
But fire him only after attending a wife-swapping party and beating his wife.
Just the news is reporting this and not NBC, CBS, ABC, Reuters, AP, etc. Says a lot about our corrupt media.
Better watch your six America, it's about to get real ugly.

The FBI is FULL OF BAD EVIL DEMOCRAT AGENTS!! TOTALLY CORRUPT AGENCY!
Yes, another one of “the brave men and women.....”
Since the fbi agents were the ones who led the effort, it is they who should face the severest of the charges.
B-b-but Sean says........................
They do know how to saturate all of the media outlets to frame the false narrative.
So, to the rest of the story...if you dig into this.
This guy originally was in the Air Force. He’d cross-trained around the 4th year, and got into AF OSI. Far as I have heard...he spent six years doing that, and got out...apparently getting this FBI hiring (maybe a decade ago).
Just the way that things look, I’d go and ask if they drug-tested the guy.
How convenient that this happens shortly after he uncovered their own agents that were in on the plot.
“ FIB must have been investigating the pineapple crowd.”
Only if those pineapples are upside down.
