WASHINGTON — President Biden and his administration’s top staff cleared public events from their schedules Thursday as the deadly bombings near Kabul’s airport killed US service members and complicated an already desperate evacuation of Americans and at-risk Afghans.
The grisly attack reportedly killed at least 12 US service members and wounded others, leaving the bodies of many Afghans strewn along a canal outside the airport.
Biden was supposed to meet at 11:30 a.m. in the Oval Office with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, but the meeting was delayed and then rescheduled to Friday.
Biden also canceled a planned 3 p.m. virtual meeting with governors on Afghan refugee resettlement.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki was supposed to host her daily press briefing at noon, but it was delayed without a new start time.

Can you imagine if something similar happened and President Trump hid in the WH residence or Mar A Lago. They’d want to impeach him that afternoon.

Wait, somebody just saw a creepy old man trying to entice a little girl with a free ice cream waffle cone. He had sunglasses and a moustache falling off sideways and I think it was Biden.
Nobody even knows where he is now, possibly on his way to CA to campaign for Newsom or even in CA. Both Kamala and Pelosi are out of town. I’m not sure anybody has even heard from SOS Whatever His Name Is (Blinken).
I think they’re all in hiding, far away from DC, because there may have been some kind of threat against DC made for today. To me, that’s the only thing that can explain everybody who’s theoretically in charge being out of town and incommunicado.
The only statements seem to be coming from the Defense Department.
Just when you think it can’t get any weirder.
The coward is afraid to show his face.
No presidential statement, no news conference, no press briefing. If Dementia Joe suddenly pops up and starts talking about the infrastructure bill we'll know the Ignore button has been pushed.
I am sitting here fighting back tears, remembering when our 3 sons were in Iraq and the dread of knowing they were in harm’s way.... And thinking about every Marine parent out there, who is waiting to know as to the status of their sons and daughters, today.
It’s the inevitable challenge of making sh!t up as you go along.
They’re all meeting to determine how they can spin these events in Afghanistan. Put together Biden’s script screen, and get the media all on the same page. THEN they’ll invite the public to hear what they have to say.
So in three days the honored service men who gave their lives today will be shrugged off as "old stuff from three days ago, man.' Except to their loved ones.
Where is Joke?
Biden is biding his time and crawling out the clock.
After this weekend the MSM will be onto to something else.
But, God forbid he gets unrehearsed questions.
