Rogue truck drivers are reportedly plotting to shut down major highways across Australia to protest against Covid lockdowns.
One driver has issued a warning in a video circulating online that truck drivers are 'planning to shut down the country' to 'remove the s*** government'.
He said supply chains would soon be interrupted and urged Aussies to stock up on groceries to get them through the next couple of weeks.

The shut down only works as long as you allow it. If 2 million Aussies disobeyed the orders, there is nothing the authorities can do.
Funny, someone who objects to being locked up without any crime being committed is called an antivaxxer which makes it OK.

There were some scattered protests in places.
The Big One was the 73-74 shutdowns during the oil embargo. One mad driver, almost out of fuel and with only his CB, organized a shutdown on I80 in PA that spread around the country.

I heard something similar was to happen here over the 2020 elections, but it never materialized. Lots of talk (”patriots” are good at that). No action.

The driver who started it all, River Rat, went on to found the OOIDA, Owner- Operators Independent Drivers Association, which is still going strong today.
OOIDA membership is now open to company drivers since the big companies swallowed up most of the true independent drivers.

Yes. Australia has some of the strictest most draconian gun conrol laws on the planet. Funny how it works that way.
