Pushback against Inslee vaccine order: 'Are they going to strap people to gurneys?'

Pushback is growing against Gov. Jay Inslee's new order mandating that all state employees, healthcare and long-term care workers get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Under the governor's order, issued Monday, those workers must submit proof that they have been vaccinated against the virus by Oct. 18 - or else.

The new mandate applies to 400,000 healthcare workers in Washington state and comes amid a fifth wave of COVID-19, as the highly contagious delta variant drives up cases and fills up hospital beds. The governor's order does include exemptions for medical or religious reasons.

Robin Dale with the Washington Health Care Association says they've been pushing for this new mandate for months.

While Democratic lawmakers call the mandate an important step in stopping the virus, many Republicans disagree.

"I’m just concerned that this goes too far - and what if this doesn’t work? What’s next?" says state Sen. Mike Padden, R-Spokane Valley. "I mean, are they going to strap people to gurneys and force shots into their bodies?"

That’s fine. Choosing to do something voluntary is worlds away from having the government coerce you into doing something you don’t want to do. If you can’t tell the difference, well, that’s probably why you have chosen to collaborate with the enemy.

But no judge in the state has enough spine to stop him, and the legislature is just about useless.

You are correct. It's very sad to see the left literally destroying our modern society. We will soon be unable to trust our once great health care system in any way whatsoever. The left has nearly totally corrupted the entire system in under two years. And folks, there is no fix for this.

This is the reason these healthcare workers should all walk out at once. Walking out is the only answer but the window for effect is going to close very fast. Those who are told they must get the vaccine are in the drivers seat right now because they can ALL walk out and have another job before they get to the parking garage. In six months or so that may not be the case and the walkouts won't work because the tyrants will know they have no where to go. Time is of the essence here.

Don't fall for the trap that this can be fought in court. It can't. The courts will take months if not a year or more and by that time the window to leave and take a job somewhere else will be long gone. If everyone were to walk out it would collapse the state system and they will be forced to rescind this diktat. Even a temporary walk out would work but as I said the window for this will be closing fast.

I'm not suggesting anyone do this. I'm just pointing out where we are headed by taking one road or the other.
