Bears kill people in India, with some regularity.

More than in the USA, it seems.

Just when you’re worried about a tiger, a bear comes out of nowhere and ruins your day.

I never go out into wilderness areas without my AA Beowulf AR-50 .50cal with 400gr HPs, and Colt Trooper MKIII with 158gr HPs. Bear spray just doesn’t cut it.

Asian bears are small but very mean and aggressive.

Couple of questions:

Why hollow points? (hard cast break bones and penetrate deeper, while HPs may eventually cause bleed out, the attack may persist)

Have you ever fired a follow-up shot, on target inside 2 seconds?

Disney ruined Bambi, too. Although the artistry was great, the novel by Felix Salten (himself, a hunter!) was far superior. No cutsie animals.

I saw an original copy of that book in a local thrift shop/flea market, but didn’t have enough cash on me to buy it for $40 asking price.

Left and went to get some cash and by the time I got back it was gone...................8^(

"Asian bears are small but very mean and aggressive."

Small is a relative term. I find it curious that many people will find a domesticated 120 lb. Rottweiler terrifying, but see a wild 250 lb. black bear and regard it as cute and cuddly.

Many times at human silhouette. Less recoil than a 12ga. It’s not a .50cal BMG. I sold me Barrett .50cal BMG.
