A statue of Martin Luther King Jr. in California was vandalized with “horrific graffiti” in a despicable act that’s being investigated as a hate crime, officials say.
Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia said the likeness of the civil rights icon at Martin Luther King Jr. Park was defaced over the July Fourth holiday weekend.
“The LBPD are investigating this as a hate crime and we are working to catch whoever committed this awful act,” Garcia tweeted Monday. “Our MLK statue is a symbol of hope and justice for the community. This hate and desecration has no place in our city.”
A photo posted to Twitter showed the statue spray-painted with what appeared to be a swastika and SS bolts — two common neo-Nazi and white supremacy symbols, according to the Anti-Defamation League

Well, Long Beach is one of the few areas where it might actually have been done by real white supremacists. There are some real ones around there.

I mean, black paint blends in well with the aged bronze of natural green, and a vague swastika (I thought X at first) on the chest suit coverings and stylized SS on the knee.
This isn’t even real noticeable! One has to look at it really to see.
Meanwhile, we have bright obvious colors covering all over our serious Founders and men of God, in the hundreds, and nothing about “horrific” from a mayor or in the paper.

Graffiti on a statue, who cares, after 2020 none of them mean anything anymore.
Imagine if someone pulled it down, they probably would have called in airstrikes on the city.
I can smell the odor of “Fake” even over the internet.

A true racist attacker would have tried to destroy, dismantle or bring the statue down in the style of Sadam Hussein.

ANTIFA could’ve just pulled it down with no consequences.

How do we know the vandal did not yell “I LOVE YOU MAN!” before he sprayed the statue.
Interesting how the destruction of some statues is considered OK but to others are a “Hate Crime”.
If they are appalled at “horrific” grafitti on MLK, then what about this statue of Father Junipero Serra?
In Long Beach, they’d be outnumbered 400 to 1.
Defacing Columbus status was promoted by the democrats, and no one was arrested for destroying them or tearing them down.
It is impossible to base charges on who the statue is a statue of! (in a sane world.) But it’s not a sane world. Nothing is what it is any more. Everything is a symbol of something else.
Same place where city council demanded $2 per hour “Hero pay” for grocery store workers —due to Covid......
And 2 chains promptly CLOSED 4 stores. PERMANENTLY.
Same for those who bestowed sainthood on George Floyd.
This whole “woke” phenomenon is a vicious perversion of Christianity — with no hope of redemption if you are white.
Which raises an interesting question: if whites are the “devil” then who is “Jesus” in this perversion of Christianity?
