Antivirus software pioneer John McAfee dead after prison suicide: report

Antivirus software tycoon John McAfee died by an apparent suicide in a Spanish jail cell Wednesday evening — hours after reports surfaced that he would be extradited to face federal charges in the US, according to local media.

The eccentric tech entrepreneur was arrested in October and was awaiting extradition when he was found dead, police sources told the newspaper El Pais.

The newspaper reported McAfee was pulled from his cell in Barcelona and police are investigating the circumstances around his death.

He either died from something natural or murder. He is not the type of person that would commit suicide.

I think the guy was very intelligent. That sometimes comes
with a less rosy outlook for daily life.

Sometimes things like paying the bills, or coping with certain
dynamics others sail through easily, don’t come as easily for
them.

When it comes to ethics, I also believe those decisions might
not be their forte.

I just wonder if that could have had anything to do with
his overall situation.

Where some people are lost creating things for the

Very weird case. He was brilliant but pretty strange, like most brilliant people.

Fraud is seriously bad, and people like Madoff actually should get the death penalty for the lives they’ve destroyed.

I’ve never been sure about the McAfee fraud charges, but even before that it was apparent that the US government and the left wanted to get him. Now that the US government is totally leftist, they’re totally in sync with the totally leftwing Spanish, so it’s no surprise that the Spanish handed him over. Obviously, he thought what awaited him here in the US was worse than a Spanish jail (which ain’t that bad, not that I’ve been imprisoned, but as a translator I have met with people there).

Here it will be solitary, deprival of rights, and things so bad even Putin complained about them. And the way out is suicide. Someday they’ll probably dig your body up or do a search for your ashes and take them out for condemnation by the Red Guard, but who cares? You’ll be dead and with (or not with) the Lord by then.
